Yaaay! We did it?Great job making our club the best in the land and developing our own talent to do so, no hired help! BOOM
Step in the right direction. I’m not sure you were one of them, but there were many people here asking when our training center was going to start producing.Yaaay! We did it?
We brought in Desanto and Buchanan from other schoolsGreat job making our club the best in the land and developing our own talent to do so, no hired help! BOOM
So, they didn’t wrestle for Iowa before joining the HWC???We brought in Desanto and Buchanan from other schools
Glad you made this statement. It just goes to show how our people can develop talent. We brought in Desanto and Buchanan from other schools

I used to think that you actually believed the stuff you were saying. Beautiful troll job.Great job making our club the best in the land and developing our own talent to do so, no hired help! BOOM

If you can't recognize the improvement Desanto made at Iowa during his college career, and has made in FS since graduating, you're either a feckless rube or being "Mr. Obtuse Cool Guy." Buchanan, perhaps less so, but it is tough to ignore that he reached the top of the podium for the first time last year, and his victories today.
Kudos to the HWC for a great showing. It is OK to acknowledge this yet still think it is time for a change at the helm of the program.
It is fair to say this of Buchanan - DeSanto's development is all Iowa. Not a whole lot different than Messenbrink - and yes, I know DeSanto wrestled one season and Messenbrink red-shirted before they transferred. We brought in Desanto and Buchanan from other schools
Just want to add ADS made huge strides in other areas than wrestling, as well.If you can't recognize the improvement Desanto made at Iowa during his college career, and has made in FS since graduating, you're either a feckless rube or being "Mr. Obtuse Cool Guy." Change, not at the helm.If you can't recognize the improvement Desanto made at Iowa during his college career, and has made in FS since graduating, you're either a feckless rube or being "Mr. Obtuse Cool Guy." Warner's tilt to start that 3rd period was awesome. I went from thinking the finalist streak was snapped after Warner got taken down, and then boom! Responded right away and took back the momentum in a big wayIt's an interesting "what if" whether Buchanan would've won the title at Wyoming over Max Dean in 2022 if Warner hadn't upset him (presuming AJ still gets hurt that year and misses the tourney of course since he would've likely repeated himself). I tend to think Buchanan would've actually pulled it off, but it worked out better for Iowa how it all played out getting Warner as a finalist to keep that streak alive and eventually Buchanan as a champion.
That was awesome. Also the last time an Iowa guy titled an opponent! Or sure seems like it. Mostly its what I see other teams do.Warner's tilt to start that 3rd period was awesome. I was thinking about that when he got robbed on the criteria issue. Old Desanto would have lost his mind probably. He is growing for sure.Just want to add ADS made huge strides in other areas than wrestling, as well.
Ummmmm…..what???WELL....... What does NEED to be said once again is. WHERE are all the GR8 Krailures guys????
Now look at this VERY carefully!!!!
DeSanto was not even a POS ncaa champion
BUCHANAN won one
of course SUPERMAN LEE was our only "Next Level Elite" kid in a while and EVEN hurt was a 3 timer and now has multiple world and Olympic medals!!!!
In Low LYING swamp land, tell me how many kids they have wrestling Internationally who never won a title at F*** st??? How many 1 time champions?? TWOOOO time, THREEEE time!?!?!?!? Hell they have 4 timers and even a 5 timer now because of POS ncaa!!!! I mean with ALL the wanna bee bandwagon jerk-offs, who ride Krailure D!!!!
What is your sad sack story again????? "He is so great..... Kids go there just to see his bald head and HGH jaw!!!!"
I mean 100% HONEST, the guy is a DISGRACE!!!! Not ONLY that, but he BROUGHT(PAID) to bring in, Gilman, Dake, Snyder, and more and STILL they produce SHEEEeeet!!!!
So once again STOP with the coaching B*LLSH*T!!!! Guy just has way more talent and misses more then he succeeds but until POS ncaa gets their act together(guessing it never happens) the situation does not change and IOWA has to figure out how to play on that field!?!?!?
uhh let me break it down for the "simple minds"Ummmmm…..what???
Curious, how many Psu wrestlers have made Sr world and Olympic teams in the last 10 years compared to Iowa wrestlers. Genuinely curious.
Since 2016, I think Iowa has Dennis, Gilman, and Lee, PSU has Taylor, Retherford, Brooks, Nick Lee and Molinaro. Four of those guys "only" made the team once. If you add 2015 then Iowa adds Ramos and Metcalf. Seth Gross made it as well but won't give Iowa credit for that one. Maybe I'm forgetting someone.

The tilts from our other wrestlers stopped after Lee graduated. Natural coach. That was awesome. Also the last time an Iowa guy titled an opponent! Or sure seems like it. Mostly its what I see other teams do.
Well I did and have, Sorenson is a pivotal part of the program that TnT head and run. He will always have a roll as long as TnT are at the helm. I also saw Ironside in the corner with him at Zergrab, which I thought was very cool. Terry and Sorenson heading the HWC ( I have not seen Dennis around) would be great allowing Tom room for the assistants that he needs to move the program forward, at the end of the day they all train together at times to help our guys and girls succeed.Show some respect and give props to Sorensen as well! Good stuff
I was wondering if Dennis was still around. Seems he would of made that trip for sure.Well I did and have, Sorenson is a pivotal part of the program that TnT head and run. could the HWC head coach pay enough to match Terry's salary is a good question. I wonder if this is even a conversation, because from the outside looking in it does make a whole lot of sense.
What is your gauge for success at Worlds? At least 2 gold medalists from the HWC?Great job making our club the best in the land and developing our own talent to do so, no hired help! BOOM
You want some cheese with that whine? Just enjoy it for what it is, the guys did great, they reflect heavily on American wrestling. Two thumbs up!uhh let me break it down for the "simple minds"
Let me TRY this. Lets look at POS ncaa Football. IF you had a TOP team(forget about a championship team many years in a row) you MIGHT expect to have MANY players moving on to the NEXT LEVEL(read PRO here)
Meaning, the players are real good, the coaching is real good etc..... In WRESTLING, our NEXT LEVEL is Worlds and Olympics. It is a LIFE LONG dream for many of the ELITE talent to some day reach.
OBVIOUSLY there are MANY factors involved. You have to have that UNREAL ability mostly to even think about hitting goals like WORLD/OYMPIC medalist- CHAMPION!!! Factors like, injuries, career, family might all come into play, but you WOULD expect, having SOOOOO many top kids for like 15 years now. The INTERNATIONAL MEDALS would be PILING UP!?!?!?
They are NOT and the reasons are very VERY clear(at least to those with more then 1/2 a brain!!!) why they are not!!! The gr8 Krailure BOUGHT IN what 4-5 international medalists to go with ALL the other talent and ONE, count it ONE Olympic gold and he(TAYLOR) left!!!
DeSanto is exceptional as is BUCHANAN but I would not call them the elite of the elite out of college and I would bet a cool MIL that NO one would have predicted these results!!! So GOOD on them and keep putting in the work and doing what "they say can't be done!!!"
In Low LYING swamp, you cheating POSs should all be fired for what you have done, and what you are doing!!!!!
OH, by the way. Just because YOU do NOT like the TRUTH. Does NOT change the TRUTH!!!!

What's the Zane Train up to? Loved watching him, great rep for USA.Interesting question so I also wanted to find out. Just using college teams and not RTCs:

PJ Duke and Levi Haines were also on this past year’s team. But this was a great showing for the HWC in Zagreb! Keep pushing forward and bring the RTC more notorietySince 2016, I think Iowa has Dennis, Gilman, and Lee, PSU has Taylor, Retherford, Brooks, Nick Lee and Molinaro. Four of those guys "only" made the team once. If you add 2015 then Iowa adds Ramos and Metcalf. Seth Gross made it as well but won't give Iowa credit for that one. Maybe I'm forgetting someone.
If we had 2-3 representatives on the team would be huge imo. We expect Lee to be the rep. But if ADS can get through the gauntlet at 61kg and Buchanan can win the spot over Kyle Snyder, that would be insane! What is your gauge for success at Worlds? At least 2 gold medalists from the HWC?
