Aside from an early 3 - 0 SR lead, it was total domination by the Bears from LZ. LZ is just a powerhouse from what I witnessed. What I was very impressed with LZ was yes, they have speed, but so do most teams. It was the damn intensity, non-stop aggressive play.

Right or wrong, they sure go strong. And they are not wrong on most occasions.

Good luck against MC; you have a chance to knock two CCL Blue teams out of this year's playoff.

Great season Mustangs. The future definitely looks bright. Let's build up those lines of scrimmages to match up with some of these elite teams!

I was looking forward to seeing a LZ and ESTL semi final, but it wasn't in the cards. Congrats to LZ. They definitely seem like the team to beat in 7a. Impressive victory!

Congratulations to Lake Zurich. Other than being very talented and physical, the execution was phenomenal. The LZ posters mentioned the extra dimension to this year's Bears team, the passing game. #8 can sling it, not just on the designed routes but when things break down which is impressive for 16-18 year olds. Great football by the Bears tonight. #6 and #7 as good as advertised. Good Luck next week.

Great season by the young Mustangs with 3 losses to 3 semi-finalists, LZ, LA and PC

Some great players certainly. There were a couple of back to back plays by SR #1 that is had to say WOW. The QB #8 play for LZ let everyone see that he can do quite a bit. He's a totally different player from the past 2 yrs. My props go out to the LZ O-Line and D-Line. IMO one of their best games.

It would have been interesting to have SR#77 and the SR's original QB. I suspect the game plan would have been different, but I do think LZ has shown they can adapt pretty well. Next week will be interesting. Don't know much about MC, so like last night's game it'll be interesting to see what LZ dials up.

Lastly, props to both coaches. Near the end getting the 2nds and future 1'st stringers into the game, classy. There nothing like the experience of a qtr final PO game against a good opponent.

Here's to having more of these head to heads in the future. Unlike the MC-ESL thread, lots of class before, during and after the game.

BTW, was it speed or the food.....inquiring minds want to know.

That was great execution by the LZ offense. But I thought the key was the playcalling early. Everyone in the stadium was thinking run on LZ 's first touchdown pass, ditto on second flee-flicker TD pass.

LZ controlled the line of scrimmage the entire game on both sides of the ball.
