Hats off to the Rebs, I didn't think anyone could stop the hot ULL team.

I hope power hitting comes back to Vegas, this small ball stuff is getting old.

I responded the same way the last time they went to the a World Series. Waaaaaaaah!

However, it was an age appropriate response the last time.

Hey Rebs, if you need a second mortgage on your double wide, the rates are still great.

Now I hope you act like a Ron Polk team and drop the next two.

Dear God let this come true. why does our success have to always come at a price and never come to completion? God make it stop...

4 out of 5 bitches .. I guess that feels better for now...17 it

Yes. He is a good coach. And unlike most of their coaches through the years, he's not a douchebag. If he coached for any other school in the country, I would be happy for him right now.

Actually, several of Polk's teams won a CWS game. Only 1 of them won 2 though. 6-16 all time in CWS games. And yeah. Congrats, and hoping for Polk-like results.

Gotta give credit where it is due. I had a lot of OM fans speak very well of our run last year. It killed them as much as this year is killing me but they did it anyway.

I do of course want them to lose now.

Not gonna lie, I would love to be going back to Omaha but that place will bore you shitless if you have to spend more than 4 days there.

Y'all might as well prepare for them to make a strong run. They have a really good hitting team and some pitching. We made it last year on pitching.

I don't know that they can win it but they can make some noise with the club they have.

Day in and day out they are probably the 3rd best team there.(behind UVA and VU).

The park size will mess with them. Hoover wasn't their friend. I'm not sure even the fat first baseman can hit it out of Ameritrade.

Thanks. It's been a while since we've been there, any tips as far as food, bars etc?

Steak - Gorat's, Reuben Sandwich - Crescent Moon, After a night game - King Kong ( steak sandwich or gyro)
Go to Rosenblatt Memorial
Omaha Zoo if you are into such
Lincoln is 45 minute drive. There is a visitor center in the football stadium that is cool.
Golf - Omaha Country Club is strong if you can get on which was doable but you might need to know someone, Ditto Firehthorn Golf in Lincoln
If you remember Dodge Street an can count 0 to 200 you can get most anywhere.

I'm afraid you are correct. A well rounded team that could win a few games.

Anyone who is a college baseball fan or first timer to Omaha has to visit Rosenblatt. I was lucky enough to see a CWS in it and it was an experience like no other at a baseball game.

The locals are great to the CWS, too. They'll end up picking an "underdog" team at some point in the tourney and it'll be like home games for them. The year I went was when UCI played so well (and State was in Omaha).

Wish I could go this year.

Yeah this may be their Achilles Heel in that ball park. Home runs are very hard to come by. The biggest reason I think they can make noise is their overall hitting average is above .300 and they have some speed (except at first).
