There are a few things you can pick up from the 1st 2 games. For example, Skyler Howard is better than expected imo. Also, our 2 young outside receivers look to have a LOT of potential. I was worried that teams would be able to cheat their safeties up in the box without any deep threat & I have much less concern on that front now. Granted it's still early, but it looks like we have a pretty good receiving corps. And we took care of business. We blew out 2 overmatched teams, which is what we should do. The concerns I have - offensive line & our pass rush. We rushed for 3.8 yards per carry against an FCS team & we had 0 sacks. That's not going to cut it in Big 12 play. We need some balance on offense & we can't just let QBs set back there for 4-5 seconds, because they will pick us apart in Big 12 play (I don't care how good our secondary is - very few dbs can cover for that long). Overall, I think we have the potential to be a good team, but until we see how this team responds when they get punched in the mouth by other talented teams, it's hard to say what the final record will be at the end of the season. I still think it could be anywhere from 7-5 to 9-3 (maybe 10-2 with all of the right breaks). Still too many unknowns at this point in the season.
