I personally thought Decker played better than Conrad did in the first 3 games. But what do I know?

I do not know who is responsible for this depth chart from Huskermax. Kalu is considered out, but is 2 on the DC. Newby is off and is considered out. Knevel and Tre are at 1, but considered iffy. So I don't think we can draw any conclusions from it. Figure out what you can about who might be a go from this . Newby and Kalu are a no-go.

Our depth chart is always pretty iffy anyway. But man do I hate seeing Knevel ahead of Jaimes. If you are going to burn the kid's red shirt, you better roll with him, especially the way he played.

It looks to me like Decker is more physical and a better run blocker while Conrad might be a better pass blocker. At this point I'd take the run blocker over the pass blocker. Jaimes certainly isn't overpowering but looks technically sound enough to be effective. He needs to keep getting reps and I hope he does but probably won't since Cav doesn't rotate.
Can't Riley overrule him? Head coach?
This depth chart could also be wrong, who knows.
This year there is a lot of uncertainty but the one thing that is a guarantee is Cav will not coach here next year.
Cav couldn't be gone soon enough for my taste. I just don't get the not rotating. Sure, No. 1s should get 70% or so of snaps most games, and maybe one or two of the positions you don't rotate as much if there is a big drop to No. 2, or your starter is AA material. Even then, spell him a series or two. IMO you keep your guys more focused if someone else is going to go in there for a series and your starters know that if the guy spelling you outplays your arse, you might not get back in the game as quickly as you would like. And your backups are fighting to prove they should get more time. I also believe focus and attention to detail during the week also improves across the board when your PT isn't as assured. Maybe that doesn't impact everyone's efforts, but I think it is just human nature for most. More than anything, Cav stubbornly sticking with what hasn't worked for going on 3 years is, IMO, either laziness or incompetence.
Jaimes is going to be really good. Want to see him finish the year out.
The rotating thing has been dealt with. Generally accepted that the best five play most, maybe a couple of additional swing guys play if they are at the appropriate level. The problem now is making sure we have five healthy guys to play. Cav did get a true frosh ready to start a B1G game.
