Watching AJ return that interception 105 yards was priceless and then getting home that night and seeing Saban so mad on T.V. made it that much sweeter.

Bama '96 to end the drought was pretty sweet too.

basically because they were such a long time coming, and they are recently on my mind. In the 90s, I expected to win. Egg Bowls never really excited me that much but this one was better because of the situation.

We get it; you are an attention ***** who loves playing the suckers on this board.

But give it a rest for about a day.

We were in the drivers seat for the SEC Championship. I heard Jackie was NOT going to Bama. The rumor was circulating that week. LT gave Jackie a trophy for being our all time winningest coach. It was an awesome post game celebration.

that was coming off of an 0-11 season. It ended up that they were vastly improved, but it was disappointing.

When we beat Florida and Auburn in consecutive weeks, I was trying to figure out how we could could get to the Orange Bowl.

when are you going to answer omlawdog's f'n question?

"Are you ON or OFF the Favre bandwagon?"

[Tusk, just ask him to make a decision that he might have to justify later].

One of my personal favorites was the '99 Thursday night game vs Kentucky, after which we were 8-0. It was a great atmosphere and a game I'll never forget.

It was the "holy **** we're for real" moment in recent MSU history. And it was an early season win that set the tone for the rest of the year.

What would it take to experience that again? It would take a decisive win against Auburn. Not a down to the wire upset, as believe it or not we've grown accustomed to being close with people late in a game. To really lift everybody and set the tone for the rest of the year like that Texas game had done - we'll need a decisive win against Auburn. Not a blowout. A 27-10 type game where you can feel all through the 4th quarter that Auburn isn't coming back and that we've got an answer for most things they try.

Yeah and wasn't it '92 or '93 we we had 5-6 wins going into a game against a winless South Carolina? The table was set for a 8-win type year and a really good bowl game. Then we go lay an egg @ SC.

State kicks winning field goal with 1:15 left in game to beat 9th ranked tigers 16-14. Goal posts come down, the first time in a long time.

Because my mouse is messed up, I'm editing my honorable mention- to think we destroyed the 3rd ranked team in the country before a packed house. I really thought we were finally in the upper echelon of the nation.</p>

sorry for the NFL post but after decades of being a faithful fan, nothing felt better (not even the Super Bowl win for some reason and I wasat the game inMiami)

State, I'd say it was the Bama game in 98? where J.J. ran all over their ***.

My freshmen year, the kicked interception from Robert Bean to Eugene Clinton that sealed it for us.

Honorable mention to the first eight games of the '99 season. Talk about a rollercoaster ride.

It was the most exciting, best clutch win I've ever witnessed by an MSU football team with the most riding on it (essentially a trip to the SEC championship game). I'll vote it number one for me.

This really was a great win. The UK fans were even chanting 'over-rated' near the end of the game (when they thought a W was in hand).
