Penthouse to Outhouse covers the once-great programs who have fallen into a non-playoff season or streak of 2 non-playoff seasons. Conversely, what once-dormant/doormat programs have shot upwards in recent seasons. Off hand, I could think of Reavis, Eisenhower for this season.

It is probably more likely that you have situations like the Neuqua Valley, LWE, LWW, LWN, Oswegos, Plainfield North or Prairie Ridge where newly-built or formerly rural schools arise in communities experiencing a football demographic nirvana (also known as "looks like a movie high school").

Whether they are old schools or new schools, what are some more of the "up" programs?

Depends on your timeline, but Rochester went from not having a football program at all in the mid 90's, to getting beat by 2a and 3a schools a handful of years...then Derek Leonard showed up about 10 years ago.

Rockford Auburn is way up, Harlem has been on a good run the last 7-8 years, Belvidere North is up(7-2, school is only 8 years old), Belvidere is back up (6-3). Just my take in the Stateline area.
