He's a near elite level college player. But there's just something about him that makes me think he's not nearly the elite NBA talent people keep saying he is. I think he's going to be a fine, but nothing elite, NBA guy. He'll be drafted #1, but he's not gonna tranform a bad franchise.

Flagg is a stud and deserves a ton of credit. But Ace Bailey are Dylan Harper are for real too. It’s a shame they’re stuck at Rutgers and didn’t each go to a top team.

Flag is the player of the year ahead of Broome IMO. Flag's biggest problem is he is playing too many minutes and at the end of close ballgames, it is costing him and his team.

The kid is a great player and a matchup nightmare but ESPN has gotten to Tebow/Zion levels of ridiculousness about him. Even Evan Miyakawa was basically blaming the loss on a wet floor, as if it was a foregone conclusion he definitely scores on that possession despite the fact he was 6-17 on the day.

It honestly pisses me off a lot that it’s 2025 and still no one’s decided to once-over everything inside the arc whenever all the action moves to the far side of the floor. How hard could it be? This happens to our guys all the time. Pretty sure I also remember it happening to James Young at the end of the Florida game and losing us the 2014 SEC tournament, which we had in the bag otherwise.

Yuk yuk yuk all you want when it’s Duke, I’ll join ya. But seriously. Mop the ****in floor.

Everyone was exceptionally sweaty in that game. It even affected the outcome. I think it must have been extra warm or humid in that arena. Maybe something Clemson did on purpose given Duke's cramping problems.

Clemson ran a humidifier all morning according to several post on Twitter.
Duke filed a complaint late last night.

He's definitely not overrated. I can understand being annoyed by all the publicity he gets, but he's a legit superstar at the college level.
What has he won to be considered a superstar. ESPN's attempt to make everything he does sound superhuman doesn't make him a superstar. At this point no one truly knows what he is. A person is who he shows himself to be and not what someone labels him. Time reveals all things. Let it play out.

Vitale compared him at 18 to LeBron, Kobe and Magic. Later added Jordan and Bird.

The kid is good but that might be a stretch.

In the last 25 years we have had dookies be national players of the year that had NBA careers that were not very good.

Flagg is a damn good player
He’s also over used by his coach, which causes this utter exhaustion at the end of games
And while we all laugh how his age is brought up constantly, the fact remains he IS only 18 and has the emotional immaturity that comes with it
It’ll be interesting to see how he handles the NCAA tourney.

Overrated AF. The amount of pro Duke bias on that broadcast was hilarious. At one point Duke had been down for a while and still down by one and they were acting like Clemson would need a miracle to win. I guess because they didn’t have Flagg. He just doesn’t strike me as a winner. Can’t stand laettener but that guy was a true competitor.

Also, by now everyone who follows college basketball knows how old he is; therefore, we don't need to be reminded every time his name is mentioned.
