Cooperstown, NY - Besides the Baseball HOF ...

... what is there to do up that way that could occupy about four days? Headed there in late July and aside from the obvious, can anybody offer suggestions on places, lakes, towns, whatever to do?

...since I was up there. Very nice country. Expect Cooperstown to be crowded most of the time due to the weekly 12 year old baseball tourneys going on at Cooperstown Dreams Park. Each week, 96 teams plus families come in from all over. There is a lake right near the town that some folks went fishing on. If you are in to baseball memorabilia, the town is like one big baseball card shop. We didn't pursue many activities outside of going to the Dreams Park.

Utica not far which has some of the best beer brewed there, Seranac. Tours and samples for small fee. Minor league baseball in NY/PENN League in Utica also. Remington Arms Museum close.
