OC - Mark Hudspeth
DC - Ellis Johnson
RC - Billy Gonzalez

I'm 100% sure about 0% of these. Would be damn nice though.

What are you hearing?
I'm withholding my opinion on the hire until I hear who the coordinators are.

...Coach34. I am looking forward to #$!##**' insightful observations about why Coach Mullens sucks before the first game is played next year.

Considering Mullen is running the exact offense I have been shouting from the rooftops for us to run for 5 years, you wont hear much from me. And until he loses to Maine, I wont be calling for him to be fired.

That Hudspeth has an offer on the table. Last I heard, "he will most likely accept" He has to decide between assistant at MSU or head coach at some small school in TN. UT Chat. I think.

but I would find it hard to believe that he would even be considering being a position coach. My guess is that it is for asst. head coach or OC, and that they would count on him to run things while Mullen is in Fla for the NC.

Hudspeth would be an awesome assistant. I have to believe that its better to be a offensive coordinator in the SEC than be a head coach for a lower division program. Are we hearing any movement towards a defensive staff? I would love to have a guy who has been working with Saban the last few years. He is the only guy I can think of that has a real attacking type defense.

It would be good to have a high energy guy running things while the head coach has obilgations in th NC game.

I agree, remember the knock many had of us had on some of the candidates was that they had never been in a major conference. I believe Hudspeth's only experience at the D1 level was a year at the Naval Academy. I don't see being an OC at an SEC school a backward step at all. I think it is necessary that he take this type of position sooner or later if he wants to ever be a Head Coach in D1

but some guys I'd talk to are Chavis from Tenn. If Lane brings in daddy to coach the D, he would be open.

Hopson from Michigan, formerly of USM.

If I am reading into Mullen's comments right, he said he won't call the plays, that leads me to believe he will have an OC that he has coached with in the past and is familiar with his offense. Maybe BG if Urban doesn't promote him ,or the coach from Bowling Green that just got let go.

I hope Mullen continues to coach the QBs.

This much alone, that we might recruit quality QBs for the first time in memory, gives me enough reason to be optimistic.

Foster is 13 years senior to our head coach. Clemson almost gave him the job, but the SC game sealed his fate. Foster will be the next head coach at VT if he can wait around long enough.
