The officer was not threatened in any way. He never came close to be "run over". Geez.....

:joy:

Like saying a guy who aims his gun 10 feet away from you didn't threaten you in anyway

Did you run closer to where the gun was aimed? Because the cop ran closer to the car in this case, if you can't see that and admit that after watching the video then you either have serious vision issues or you are completely biased on the topic.

of course I saw that. The difference is I can see that that doesn't matter. It's not unreasonable for a cop to come up the side of a car that has a criminal inside. It is incredibly, incredibly unreasonable to try and drive away and take the risk of/intentionally try to injure the officer once he is standing next to your car.

When the cop lies and says he tried to run me over it absolutely matters.

How does whether the cop approached the car or whether he stood 20 feet away when the car took off affect whether the criminal attempted to run him over? Whether I stand 3 inches in front of your grill and you punch the gas or if I'm 100 yards down the road crossing the street and you gun it torwards me, you tried to run me over. No?

Pretty sure there are like 50 innocent children around the world that have been murdered in the last minute, so forgive me while I continue to not care about this loser who had every opportunity in the world to live a good life based on the country he was born in.

Now some of these other police murders are sickening (especially that walmart one with the suspect with the toy gun), but not this dirtbag.

How does your hypothetical have anything to do with what actually happened as shown in that vid? The car was pulling away beginning with the cop about a parking spot away, and then the cop ran to the side of the car and made contact with it then opened fire. There's no other way to spin it.

I've already addressed that. Are you suggesting the cop did something wrong by approaching a car with a criminal? There's no other way to spin that, either.

Wonder if I could accelerate through a Hardee's parking lot and put other lives at risk like that? What if a little kid runs out of the restaurant at that moment? Cops think they can do anything. He tried to run me over haha Just get out of the way. You have his plates on camera. It's not like he is going to get away.

I'm amazed at the people in this thread can't see that the cop was not in any danger to get ran over.

I understand the perp was a bad guy, but he was only 19 yrs old and had plenty of time to see the error of his ways and lived a great, legitimate life. I'm 61 yrs old and have never been arrested in my life, but I made mistakes at 19 yrs old that I could've been arrested for if I had been caught. I'm just glad I wasn't shot for driving with that can of beer between my legs.

I'm amazed at the people who see one angle of an event that happened in about one second from a crappy video and think they know EXACTLY what happened/should have happened. With youralls eyes, you guys belong in the nfl as referees.

We can't help if we are more objective than others.
