Put this team on his back during the 2nd half but especially the last 8:00 of this game. KUDOS to him and hopefully that'll shut up some of the morons here on this board.

Great game, GREAT win, THANK YOU COREY and all your teammates as well!!! Everybody busted their asses out there down the stretch hitting the boards, diving for balls, and drawing fouls!

He is SO much fun to watch. Corey on the fast break = a really really good chance for points.

If Corey can cut down the bad turnovers , he's going to be an ALL B1G player before he leaves the banks! He's not far off now. Playing great D, an offensive weapon, just needs to take care of the ball better. No doubt a STELLAR game from Corey today!

Sanders has to lead but still make the other players better. He did that today. That last stop was a thing of beauty.
During the congratulatory walk by none of the Nebraska players could even look up. That kind of shame should go away quickly in the coming seasons.

best win of his career. remember he did score 39 and hit a prayer 3 to send the game to OT against Illinois (which we eventually lost)

True but he put up over 30 shots in that game to get there. But he also had 12 assists so that was his best game statistically.

Either way he played within himself today with a good shot selection and very good defense. That pass to Getty's after the timeout was the start of the mini comeback to win it.

His body control in the air, ability to get to the hoop and ability to finish is NBA ready. He needs to improve his jumper, decision making and passing. I think one more year of development and then he can be league bound. Hes special and very fun to watch

starting to look like the Corey Sanders of last year..confident and aggressive offensively. Would like to see him start connecting on some of those 3 point attempts like last season but baby steps.

I think a lot of this recent play by Sanders is due to Pikell not subbing him in and out as frequent. Sanders couldn't get into a rhythm offensively earlier on due to that IMO

I think he's going to need all 4 years to really develop under this staff. Key elements of his game neeeed for NBA prime time are 2 years of development away.

Best game of his career IMO.
-----
he is the guy you probably want to take the last shot, and at times his move to the basket
are big league

he still kills me with the little things along the way..... stepping on the line for a turnover, a few
careless ball handling and passes for turnovers.... I think he had 3 or 4 early on in this game

He looked real happy today, and I am happy for him

I would go with the Illinois game for that, to win we need these games from Corey almost every night given our lack of production from the rest of the team, and we know he is capable of these games...best game this year

Awesome game for Corey, especially his clutch play down the stretch - he's inconsistent at times, but he's still our best player and when he plays like that, we can beat teams. Great win.

Great effort by Sanders. But all this NBA stuff is horse feathers. Professional ball in his future, yes. NBA, let's hope he develops enough. He is a special player by Rutgers standards.

It always comes down to can you defend in the NBA. Hot shots came and go but the ones who stick....even on the bench..can play defense. Dontay Jones played 13 NBA years and won a ring because he learned to play D...and I don't mean Duke.

A little surprised some of the usual Corey bashers have not been heard from.
I've been one. He got better as the game went on..first few minutes were the usual turnover machine. But if he can play the way he did the last 30 minutes...maybe we can surprise some more times.
Now, if we can only get Freeman to stop those dribble drives from the foul line....

Ehhhh I don't know about that. A "defensive guy" in the NBA is rare like a unicorn. You gotta knock down shots. Having defense is a bonus but certainly not something that puts you on anyone's draft board

Corey in the last 6 games or so like a better version of Corey last year.

He really started slowly this year and has turned it around big time!

The level of defense in the NBA is several levels above college basketball. What turns many college superstars into lottery busts is the inability to play NBA defense or score against it.

Corey is better unleashed. I think Pikiell knows that too. What's great though, is that Pikiell taught him team concept in the off-season and early in the year and Corey obliged. But it's clear Corey is so much more effective when he operates. Best of both worlds. Let him go like Westbrook. Our team only benefits.

I'm cautious about saying this, but I think he plays better when the opponent is more challenging....that would be painful for some to read this, because someone will take it the wrong way as if he didn't play as hard before.....not saying that or going that far...

But Nebraska's guards are really good, they can make shots and get their own baskets....when they scored and scored again to get up 7 on RU, Corey went off and took over on some possessions to stop the bleeding.

I know Maryland has Trimble and a couple of other sharp-shooters as well, but curious to see if Corey comes out in attack-mode on Tuesday and what MD decides to do....will they let Corey go off or will they play team defense and double their help towards Sanders.....

Somehow, this has to open up others for offense and Nigel's two 3's in the first half was key for gaining the lead....if we can get 12-14 from Nigel, we would have something going, because I think Sanders is going to get 18-20 per game the rest of the season......then Mike Williams should have more room etc...

You think so?I think he has learned this year to play within the game. When he is unleashed, he can make sloppy plays and sometimes, those can be big momentum changers.

To me, it is clear that a lot of his team mates did real well in non conference, and still do well in conference. Still, I think in the big ten, he knows he has to pick up the slack. He is also a winner from West Oaks. It is never a bad thing to have a kid who knows how to win be in circumstances like Saturday.

We need to get Mike back on point. Seems like he hasn't scored much since he was named co-captain, also as Corey has exploded.

The more playing well in all aspects of the game the merrier.

I didn't see the game (son had a game, I DVRd, and espnu comes choppy and found unwatchable).

There is a fine line here. no doubt he has to play with confidence which means he needs to be geeen lighted. Unfortunately the teams that we need to beat to get to 5-6 B1G wins will require balanced scoring and multiple threats on the floor. Obviously not a knock on Corey

We probably just beat B1G team #12 at the buzzer on our home court.
