I read a pretty long article about it and apparently it will be thrown out. Even if FIFA agrees and thinks it shouldn't count, the rules clearly say that the coach from the protesting team must verbally voice their protest during the game, the captains for BOTH teams must be present with the head official when the protesting team's captain verbally protests during the game, and the formal protest must come within 2 hours of the match ending. That's my understanding, and I also understand that none of those things happened. Eat your heart out. Have fun playing New Zealand.if they wanted to continue playing and the US AND the Ticos both said yes. At least that's what Sir Ian Darke led me to believe. If that is true, how can they protest?
