Cotton Mills..?

That PDF must be from one of the numerous failed plans. The current plan is turning the Cooley building into a conference center and office space. Also, a marriott hotel and parking garage is being built.
Everything is moving along. The Cooley building is pretty much all gutted and the dirt work for the garage and hotel are progressing.
There is not any retail involved in this plan. With that said, I've heard Ergon is potentially going to develop some sort of mixed use development on their property (I think is across the street from the Cooley building). Also, the cotton mill developer is looking to build a restaurant in front of the Cooley building and was talking to amerigo's.

Hopefully this will kick things off. That empty lot across from the Cooley building is just begging for mixed-use buildings to tie into the Cotton District.
Drove by there a week or so ago and saw scaffolding all the way around the building. Looks like they are doing work.
