Could CNN look any more foolish?

Last night Mrs. D@A had them on and the female reporter that was leading the coverage from the street said that the suspect was innocent until presumed guilty. I said that's actually pretty accurate these days.

I felt like this week was a pretty pathetic display by the media. Not that it's anything new. Even on Sportcenter some jackass was asking the Boston Red Sox coach about the bombers motives and thoughts. I just turned it off. It has gotten so bad I can't even watch it.

My wife was saying...

...that this same woman was actively interfering with police last night while they were in the process of trying to capture the suspect, bc she "needed to ask them a question". What a 17ing joke the media has become.

The media in this country is leading us by the hand straight to communist hell and we are skipping along happily.

I`m all for freedom of the press but I would like one regulation. If an outlet or specific show uses the word "news" in it`s name that it actually has to unbiasedly report the news. I know I know this is TOTALLY UTOPIAN in this day and time but I would just like to have access to all the news straight up and be allowed to make my own decisions. I think the politically slanted shows are fine if that`s what one prefers to watch but make them identify themselves as such.

for the record: my bookmarked "news" sources are Fox, Politico, Real clear politics, Huff Post, CNN, Drudge,Yahoo and MSN....I figure if I can`t get the truth I`ll get all the angles and try to get there on my own.

I've been down on CNN the past few years ever since they started using those iReporters - it's like let's get these amateurs to post news for us. Add their Bleacher Report acquisition as well as their terrible reporting (most notably the past week), and I'm done with them.

And I can't stand Fox News either. Sigh. I wonder if Comedy Central could bankroll an actual news site?
