the NCAA will go easy on us after we hire Turner Gill.

And there's a PLOI in Dan Jones drawer. (Probably)

OP didn't even mention Ole miss either. He was simply saying there are rules about alluding to a rumor and not spilling it. He probably knows the story like most of us, but wanted Dawgpile to lay it out.

I hardly call the above a defensive position.

The banker in question takes anonymous deposits from many wealthy Ole Miss boosters in the area (I know that's redundant, we're all wealthy). Those deposits are put into a savings account opened in the name of Nouston Hutt. The account has an artificially inflated interest rate, and the interest is withdrawn at the end of each month. The withdrawals are then packaged in red and blue envelopes for distribution. Delivery is performed by runners who place the envelopes in the mailboxes of the desired prospects along with an Ipod and speaker set placed inside the mailbox playing "Forward Rebels" on loop.

Feel free to pass this information along to the SEC and the NCAA, and by the SEC, I mean the Securities and Exchange Commission. I've heard that this goes all the way up to Dan Jones, and it could bring down the entire university and our athletic department. Run with it Med.

I wasn't challenging OP or mad about anything. That's why I was being vague.

I first heard about the rumor a long time ago, and I also think nothing will come of it. You and Robbie can gfy.

Oh, did I break another rule? Hall monitors.

Any idiot knows you pay recruits in cash so you don't leave a paper trail.

But that was from the WIFE of a booster and not the booster himself, so the NCAA had no problem at all with clearing the Vols of any wrongdoing in very short order.

and a bank president getting walked out in handcuffs is not something that could be kept quiet in a small delta town, I know that much.

a "big time ole miss supporter" who is a "bigtime banker in the delta" supposedly was funnelling money "secretly" to recruits and his board "found out" and he was GOING TO JAIL!!!!!!!! of course it was all nonsense and the name bandied about didn't even work for the bank who's name was reported.....but i know for a fact that during bob tyler's tenure as HC at msu he was sleeping with the mother of at least one recruit................

I heardsome of itinvolved a deceased woman making deposits into her account long after she had died.

Dead people have been voting here in Memphis for years. Are you telling me that you think zombies shouldn't have the right to have a secure place for their money? Zombies are people too...maybe.
