Buzz up! LEXINGTON, KY. - Kentucky Coach Rich Brooks says freshman Randall Cobb will be the starting quarterback when the Wildcats face Mississippi State on
Saturday.
At his Monday news conference, Brooks said he made the switch from Mike Hartline because Cobb is better able to move the ball.
Brooks announced the change after the Wildcats suffered their worst loss under his tenure with a 63-5 drubbing at Florida this weekend.
Cobb has doubled as Kentucky's main receiver since the loss of Dicky Lyons Jr. two weeks ago. He has played in seven games and has caught for 164 yards,
rushed for 129 and thrown for 214.
Brooks says Hartline will have a supportive role.
