Reply all you want about how it doesn't matter blah blah. We play Kentucky Arkansas and UT Martin along with a bye week. That would mean a likely 1 month of national exposure as the number 1 team in the country. That is huge for recruiting perception.

If we beat Auburn next week, there's a pretty good chance we are #1 by the time we play Alabama on Nov. 15.

If we beat Auburn we'll be ripe for the picking by UK or Ark. Either could beat us if we're overconfident, and at that point it'd be very hard not to be.

To be the best, you have to beat #1. Florida State is still undefeated and number 1. They may have a raping Crab Claw thief at QB, but he's still undefeated as starter. Until florida St. loses, NOBODY else can claim #1.

Yep I agree. South Carolina is not good on defense this year and their offense was moving up and down the field on Kentucky. Just don't give up the big play and you can beat Kentucky.

You may be right but this isn't boxing. It's a poll. If we beat the #2 team in the country along with LSU and tamu with the Noles having done nothing of consequence I'm not sure the voters will ignore that.
