Could you imagine the reaction from the left if there was a real scandal?

Or the fact that software that might have come from our own government was used to perpetrate massive virus attacks last week all around the world. Crickets when there should be outrage.

Like for instance giving out sensitive counter intelligence gathered from our allies and shared with our biggest enemy?

Like for instance our POTUS (piece of totally useless ****) being a puppet of our biggest adversary?

Like for instance the POTUS using the office for personal financial gain?

Like for instance the POTUS not divesting himself and being tied up with continual conflicts of interest?

Like for instance the POTUS costing us a million dollars a day because his wife is so disgusted by him she won't sleep in the same bed?

Like for instance the POTUS costing us 3 million dollars a pop every time he heads to Mar A Lago because he can't keep his fat, lazy *** in DC?

Like for instance the POTUS pissing off Mexico, Canada, Australia and all of Europe?

Yeah, I'm glad there are no real scandals.

And the funny thing is, that's all "Trumped Up" ********, hell, it doesn't even move the meter compared to what I listed.

It did, but it's much easier to rewrite history to make it seem more ridiculous than him lying under oath.
Given Biff's propensity to lie, aren't you just a little concerned about what he will possibly do under oath?

No, I don't have a vested interest in him staying in the whitehouse. If he lies under oath, or really commits any of the crimes alleged but not came close to reaching proof of, run his *** off. I'm not going to compromise my integrity by allowing the media to manipulate wrong doing when nothing has occurred (to date). I don't "hope" for his impeachment. I simply don't care. The last 6 months have been nothing but fun for me toying with liberal angst. There truly is nothing to be this incensed about.

That really didn't affect too many here, but it still had me pissed off Monday morning. Was this software stolen from us? Released by wikileaks? Honest question

Not refuting that. It was about sex, not exactly a 'real' scandal. Point is he lied under oath, period. And everyone is suggesting that a real scandal will be needed to oust, Biff....nope.

Lying under oath is pretty serious. Name a Clinton that still has their law license.

Like I said, Biff won't need to commit a serious crime, illegally touch anyone, or anything like that. All they need to do is get him under oath and have him talk about himself.

Do you think it came directly from our government ... or that it's stuxnet modified and redistributed? Or does that even matter to your line of thinking? ( not criticizing your thoughts, I'm not sure it matters to my line of thinking)

It has been reported that it is believed to be North Korea and modified programming.

Don't ruin the right wingers' little charade; they love Wikileaks and Julian Assange and it fits the "government is bad" narrative.

It matters to me if the government was keeping vulnerabilities to consumer hardware and software secret from the developers for their own gain, and it matters to me if they developed malware to take advantage of those vulnerabilities.

Odds are what hit last week was modified from their sources.

You don't think our intel community should exploit these for US gains?

Not if it makes the country as a whole more vulnerable. Flaws in security of hardware and software needs to be pointed out immediately and patched immediately.

I disagree, but to each their own. Once a problem was assessed, the feds contacted Microsoft and patches were offered up. It's time for people to take some personal responsibility and protect themselves.

Or even worse if they were paying companies to keep the vulnerabilities in, even after the companies were aware of them.

I agree completely, but they have to first know that they may have a problem with their router, or TV, or IP Cam, etc.
In this particular case, I thought people were made aware in time? I'll admit to not knowing many specifics of this case or much about any of this nerdy sh*t, but I'd say in general I am for keeping us safe even if it exposes a few nimrods that's don't bother to know how to keep themselves safe.

Lying to a grand jury about your bad behavior when you being sued for sexual assault. Got disbarred too. Left is just afraid to say one of their own was a lying disbarred scoundrel.

The problem is most people really don't have an understanding of how to go about keeping themselves safe, and in some cases lack the knowledge to effectively combat attacks.

These "ransom-ware" attacks are extremely troubling as once infected, aside from paying the ransom (which doesn't always work), there is zero way to recover the encrypted files. Our office got hit 2 years ago by one, it propagated throughout our systems on a weekend, when no one was at the office. Had I been at the office I could have put a stop to it in time and prevented the damage, but it ran all weekend and encrypted everything. Fortunately I had a backup that I was able to restore from, but still lost about 1 month of data, and it did not target database/SQL files. These newer versions are going after databases as well now, which could be a major issue for some.
