Couple things about Dillon Day calling the cadence Saturday night

During the 1st half the announcers were discussing how Dillon was calling the cadence to minimize the effect of the crowd noise. Mentioned something about how we were doing it was rarely seen. They (and me) were amazed at how little our offense was affected by the noise.

All teams have some way to operate in noisy stadiums. How exactly is our way so different? Other teams use some sort of silent count rather than the center calling the cadence?

I presume with Day calling the cadence all of the linemen can explode off the line together, while the WRs and backs just watch the ball?

Whatever, with that kind of noise I rarely recall any offense (not just the Dawgs) operating so smoothly.

Interesting

Interesting. Didn't really think about how we were calling the cadence.

Didn't they say once Dak was ready for a snap he would clap his hands and Day would snap it a second or two later when Day was ready?

Yes they did say Dak would signal Day when he was ready for the snap. However Dak could have used his inside voice if he wanted to call the singals in Tiger Stadium it was so quite.
