I had Covid in early December. Felt like crap for two weeks.

Got my first shot last Monday, Pfizer. My arm was a little sore and I slept really hard the second night. Otherwise, I felt fine.

Did your doctor advise you to get vaccinated even though you've had it? One of my relatives had it (and he's in his early 70s) and still got vaccinated.

Just curious if that is standard medical advice or they are just trying to get everyone possible vaccinated as quickly as possible.

It had been just over 90 days. She told me that if I wasn’t Covid positive and was symptom free, I should be fine, and to go ahead. One emerging theory is that former positives only need one shot as the first shot produces a large antibody response. I’m going for the second shot anyway in a few weeks.

I'm curious, do y'all that had symptoms normally have symptoms after a flu vaccine?

I rarely get a flu vaccine but when I did I never got symptoms.

Been taking a flu shot for 35 years. Never had anything besides a little bit of a sore arm for a day or two.

I got Pfizer #1 yesterday too. It was as painless a shot as I've heard had but today was arm is really sore too. No other symptoms other than I slept like a baby last night.

I usually don't sick after a flu shot but will feel sort of off for a day or so.

Did you get it at the Kentucky Horse Park?

That's where we went. .

+1 on Shingrix being the worst vaccine experience.
Moderna 1 & 2. 1: Didn't feel needle. Squeezed my arm around shot location next two days & think I may have had a slight pain but it could have been just me squeezing. 2: Felt needle. Arm like a slight bruise for next two days. I wonder if it wasn't due to the needle injection vs. what was in it.

For those that have had chickenpox, Shingrix is a hell of a lot worse. Yet people who have had shingles say the vaccine is the lesser evil by far.

My shingrix vaccination made my arm hurt for a week. I could use my arm but I had to think about it. It was probably about 50% most of the week. I didn't have any other issues with the vaccination. Is that what you two had or did you have more?

By the way I don't know if I had chickenpox or not. I assume I did. I asked my mother as she was aging and she replied "I don't know you all had so many things".

The injection site had a hot red area the size if a golf ball. It was very sore for a week. The first night I woke up freezing cold and covered in sweat. Obviously, it was a fever. I felt weak for about 48 hours. I had never had a reaction to any other vaccine. My wife and I travel internationally a lot to remote places. So I am used to getting a lot of vaccinations.

2nd shot of Trump juice yesterday morning...all good. Pfizer here.

You had no fatigue? I'm not sure I've heard of anybody having absolutely no reaction. I was very close to having none but I was tired the next day.

1st shot of Pfizer today. If you don't see me posting tomorrow, send help. Got it at the Maryland State Fairgrounds just outside of Baltimore. It was a ton of people getting vaccinated and a well oiled machine. Kudos to all of the people working!

I saw stories blaming vaccinations for deaths of Marvin Hagler and Hank Aaron. Obviously some people will be vaccinated and die of unrelated causes. See where this goes.

Had both Moderna shots. 1st shot ZERO affect. Second shot, slight body aches 24 hours after the shot. Next day was back to normal.

But, keep in mind, "WE" keep an eye on what you people are doing here on Earth. 👽👽

Is it possible you contracted the covid about the same time as the shot? Have you had a test?
I’ve never had covid. Been tested multiple times. It made me wonder after I got sick after the shot. Now I’m left wondering even more since I had to have my appendix removed this weekend (after 37 years of good health). Fun times.

We discussed this a little in the large Coronavirus Thread.

The vaccine itself didn't kill those two or anyone else.

Yeah the concern is people not getting the vaccine because they believe that these two died from it. The next concern is tons of litigation over people filing lawsuits whenever someone dies after getting the vaccination.

I rarely get a flu vaccine but when I did I never got symptoms.

I've been getting the flu shot for probably 20+ years. Only started getting it after I got a really bad case of the flu that I felt like I was going to die from. Normally I have no side effects or very minor ones like feeling like I might be getting a cold. I have never gotten the flu since.

I have yet to get the Covid-19 vaccination. Just not in any rush to and I will let all those that really need it or want it more go first. I'll just wait and see how things go a bit longer before deciding to get it. Maybe if I actually had someone I know or am related to get a serious case of Covid-19 I might be in more of a hurry to get it. Fortunately that's not the case.

It's going to be VERY difficult to prove a vaccine alone was the main cause of death.

I heard a doctor say 2 days ago the only time a vaccine is listed as cause of death is if it's caused anaphylaxis.

Even so, that's based on the patient's biology, not what's in the vaccine.

No jab for me, but I've had numerous family, friends partake of all three of the jabs.

Most have taken the Pfizer, with it usually just resorting in sore arms after the first shot.

But there have been a multitude of issues for some of them after their second ones, such as, sore arm, fatigue, lethargy, joint pain, sleeps for 20 hours, multiple day loss of appetite, and in one case, significant trouble with vision. The vision issue was probably the worst of the bunch, because he actually had to go to doctor to get medicine, something about a pump in his eyes stopped regulating fluid levels (?).

One coworker got the J&J jab and he (65 years old/ health problems) has been perfectly fine since, but is wife (early 50's/ no issues) has been having bad flu like symptoms for almost a week now.

I knew a guy who used to say the same thing about the Kroger Plus card. I guess in comparison a vaccine makes slightly more sense as the devil’s work.

My 1st wife's mamaw used to love to tell the story about here brother going ballistic over the new automatic doors at the Piggly Wiggly in Big Stone Gap in the late 60s or early 70s. She said he went crazy on the manager who came over to see what the ruckus was about. He told the manager it was the devil's work, and stormed off and never went back.

Just seeing this. Next to nothing with both Moderna as I said earlier.

Shingrix shots have been 3 years ago for me - 1st one, then 3-4 months wait gap. Got them as soon as they came out. Were in short supply for two years, now plentiful. But unless you were 50+, you wouldn't have cared enough to know it.

If you're over 45-50, odds on that you've had chickenpox. Could be why you're so ugly. Yes, the S-rix shots are a pain for just about everyone. Arm hurt for a few days. But most I talk to had it worse. DW was in bed ill for 2-3 days with first with bad sore arm/chills/fever/dizziness. Scared her on getting 2nd but wanted out of way before covid vaccinations & so she did. Not near so bad with 2nd but went to bed early & long as well & some arm soreness. Covid a walk in the park to those.

Took moderna #2 on Saturday morning...put me down for a day with headache, fever, sore body. I assumed I felt bad bc I'm only 37 so my immune system is probably pretty robust. While it sucked, it was kind of cool watching my immune system work in real time.

My wife got her 1st Moderna shot yesterday. She's still alive this AM with no side effects. Not even a sore arm. I'm scheduled to get mine tomorrow at 10:00 AM.

DIL had bad case of the virus - as I've mentioned earlier - in early Feb. She's already had one vaccine shot & planning to get second.

Guess I missed something, but why were you able to get them being so young?
