Cowbell constraint at its best...Buy/Sell SEC still bans them

The SEC has a history of screwing us over.

1. Last year when the officials got calls wrong against Bama and Georgia, the SEC apologized for it. When Mullen complains all he gets is a warning to "shut your damn mouth" from the office.

2. The entire Stansbury debacle last year after the SEC tournament. Ended with Stans getting fined for pointing out the obvious.

3. Not fighting for us to make the dance over Florida. After we just tore their *** up in the tournament.

The SEC is going to find a way to take away our bells.

Just watched the replay, we rung them like crazy after Banks' interception w/ 30 seconds left in the game. Wasn't a score or timeout, so we're fined for last night and they ban them, because they're douches.

I think it'd be some potential negative PR for the SEC if they drop the hammer immediately after such a warm fuzzy season for us. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if they do ban them tho.

They were going to ban them anyway. We could have been in perfect compliance and still would not have had the votes to keep them next year.

One the SEC official is in the press box. Whatever bells are ringing, are much louder in the press box than on the field. I also think this "experiment" was a ploy to get rid of the bells (again). They can now say, we gave MSU a chance and it didn't work out. The other schools will vote against, just because. Hell, I would if I were an opposing AD.

Strong sell, we will get a one year extension if we can do the same thing for the Arkansas game as we did this game. Stricklin and Keenum will easily win the argument for a 1 year extension by saying that it is impossible to fully comply with the rule in one year after we have had the cowbell for so long.

Most of the SEC is willing to work with us on this issue, if we'll work with them. If we can repeat this in the Arkansas game, there's no way they'll kill the cowbells for next year.

If we do better against Arkansas, then I sell, but I still say we have to improve even more.

Although it didn't seem like a big deal, we still broke the rules after that INT at the end. Also, there were a few people ringing during the game.

I think there is pretty much 0 tolerance in the Arkansas game. We need another speech before next game to reiterate the importance. I am afraid that some people will start slipping next game.

what i wonder is, if the SEC is going to fine us for any of the ringing last nite will they inform us before the arkansas game? that being said i don't think we get fined for last nite, but if we did and we were told about it, if i were mullen and stricklin i'd say ring the **** out of em at arkansas for one last game.</p>
