CWC already has Zahid, might get awkward bringing in another 86kg. I would imagine Doug is going to try and fill Ropers spot with Keck.
Unclear if he's going to be at 86kg beyond this year. He mentioned in an interview he could go down in weight

Well consider me confused I guess. I read an update from RA’s site about 45min ago. The update was announcing a French wrestler to head up the RTC. I can’t recall the guy’s name but I think it was Ro something. Ro was short for his first full name. Now I can’t find the article from RA’s site. Did they put out a story and then pull it???

Zohair El Q (not gonna attempt to spell it).
Maybe I pulled up an old article somehow. Has this guy been in Stillwater?

He has been attached to Cowboy Wrestling Club for several years. At the youth through the senior levels. As a former member of the French national team he has a solid freestyle background. He reportedly is the main reason Dee Lockett stuck to his commitment after the coaching change and a significant reason that Jax Forrest is committed now. If John Smith was responsible for bringing him in than it was one of his best hires. John clearly believed in him and DT seems to also. He was recently named as a Developmental Coach for the RTC. If RA reported he was to head the RTC, he was wrong (not for the first time).

Something does not sit well with me on this whole thing. Staff is obviously DT and Kennedy. He said the only reasons he would stay were Spratley and RBY. I couldn’t listen to the entire interview, I think I had to rearrange my sock drawer. Before listening to this podcast, I was on his side. Well, if he wants to leave, have at it. There’s that Seinfeld episode where Elaine is dating a bad-breaker-upper. Well, Gilman seems to be a bad-breaker-upper. Best of luck

I’d bring in Keck all day every day. NLWC had no issues with Nick Lee/Zain and DT/brooks.
He was a beast but I don't like his attitude when he wrestled. After the whistle he'd lay on his back on the mat, mess with his shoes of his head gear and take a circular path back to the center. I was very happy when Dustin stopped going to the center until he was there. Should have received a caution in every match I saw him wrestle. That's not what I want our guys to do.

I didn't really get that vibe. He's always appeared to be a pretty good dude. Also, he's an Askren guy and it appears he mimics some of Askren?

I mean he does that but then when he wrestles he just runs through your freaking face. Annoying to watch, maybe at times. But he is all about action.
One heck of a wrestler. it’s about professionalism. The question is, can they practice and workout together and then compete on weekends and not take it personal. I used to practice every day with the guy I was competing with for the team spot, how is it different?

I don't know if no issues with DT/Brooks is accurate but Lee/Zain worked perfect
Sorry. What I meant by that was that the RTC guys at the same weight are separated and do not train/wrestle with each other, and have a different primary coach. Early in the NLWC, there was a moment where one guy was pissed that his coach was in the other corner during a tournament. No bueno. That didn't happen again.

If you guys don't want him, we will be happy to take him. Keck is a good dude. His work ethic is phenomenal. Does he have some gamemanship? Maybe but that doesn't detract from the fact that he improves a room by being there.

I heard that happened with Lee and Gilman, no joke. Gilman decided to leave Iowa

I didn't say he was a bad guy. For all I know he helps old ladies cross the street and volunteers at the local SPCA. I just don't like the way he poked around after the whistle. Nothing I said would indicate anything else.

I’m sorry that “I don’t like his attitude” threw me off.
Keck would be crazy not to join your RTC, and OSU would be crazy not to want him. He can train with Wyatt and DT, and be a great practice partner for Ross. Honestly, I'd trade Gilman for Ross. If his shoulder holds up, I think Ross is a legit threat to multi titles.
