I think it is too low and they need to raise it up, but damn it is huge, Texas Big......

definitely an incredible screen and awesome that its over the field a la basketball so you dont have to crane to see things but it was obviously too low with that punt.

Jerry Jones insists that it was built to NFL specs but I imagine they just guessed considering this is a new concept

Supposedly, the Cowboys had their punter kick it X number of times and when he couldn't hit it they determined it was high enough. Ooops.

There is an NFL mandated 85 foot minimum height. This board was hung at 90 feet. If the league forces the Cowboys to raise it, then Jerry will force the league to pay to do so (approximately 2 million).

They will be raising it when certain concerts are there, including one in October. They like to use the line that "it is at optimal viewing angle for" certain season ticket holders. With all due respect, they didn't pay for season tickets to watch the game on TV. Raising it, even another 10 feet, will not hurt it. That is probably all they would need to do. Jones does have a point when he says the majority of punts will be angled or kicked for distance. It wouldn't shocked me to learn that they were trying to hit it.

I thought they were going to raise it 20 feet for the U2 concert in October and leave it that way... So, why not just raise it now and be done with it?

That station in Dallas had a clip of Jerry taking callers on the radio. And upon being criticized by a fan, Jerry says "Did you enjoy those 3 Super Bowls? I hope you did. I hope you did very much."

In other words, don't second guess Jerry. So says Jerry.

back when the board was going in.

Jerruh: MFer is too high. Lower it now.

Contractor: Mr. Jones, if we lower it, the punters will hit it.

Jerruh: Who are you? You trying to tell me something? F that. Lower it, MFer, or I'll get someone who will.

Contractor: Yes, sir, but it's a mistake.

A caller should have said "I am 12 years old. I don't remember any Super Bowls...or playoff wins."
