Hard to believe that someone from Bolingbrook takes the side of liberal transfer rules (Girls Basketball).

Welcome to his blind world...

Hard working farmer that gets govt subsidies at time of low commodity prices so he can remain profitable while securing the country a stable food supply... the guy hates

The Bolingbrook crack ***** that lives off the government... the guy is ok with

This statement tells so much about your personality and why you have so many problems around here. How did transfers turn into welfare recipients = crack whores? My god... Smh...

Ask Bones, he is the one that turned the thread this way.. I talked about the topic, he turned it into another one of his personal attacks on people. reference post 11

Dude - what is wrong with you?

1. We had this farm subsidy discussion this summer (of which I admit I participated in actively as it was summer and the 7v7 talk was running thin.) The thread got flushed then - I’m guessing this one will as well.

2. Crack whores? - WTF? Aren’t you a teacher (when you not dabbling in farming) and shouldn’t you be teaching something? (Hopefully something objective like Math or Science and not your opinions on types of welfare and various folks other than farmers that receive it!)

At least I’m on a plane stuck on flow control and the extendo belt fat guy next to me is preventing me from working!

One could argue certain persons of a marginalized service community provide a net positive economic benefit, albeit distasteful while, say, leaving fields fallow would not.

How is that racism?? Unless you were talking about Bones calling me Huckleberry, which has way more racist tones than anything anyone else has said here..

The fact you’re comfortable calling someone a crack ***** and stereotyping them to a town is sad.

He was wrong with the Huckleberry comment you were equally wrong with your comment.

Hey, going to treat him like he treats others.. the guy ran his mouth and had nothing to back it up with, put down an entire county with his lack of knowledge on the topic.. and when facts were presented that kicked his ***, he ran like a school girl..

Why not and here’s a piece of advice that adults usually try and adhere to, raise above it? Don’t act like our president and be an actual adult.

Insulting people with racial epitaphs and connotations doesn’t make him look foolish it makes you look foolish.

Epitaph? Or epithet? Aren't you a journalist? Or are you accusing him of murder and then writing their demeaning epitaph?

Guys stop with the racial stuff. Newt: If the term "crack *****" is a racial term to you, then it's because of the image you conjured up in your own mind when you read it. I don't view it as a racist term at all. The people who fit that term come in all sizes, shapes and colors. It isn't exclusive.

I don't see where the term Huckleberry is racist either. How did we get here when anyone calls the use of the word Huckleberry racist? Look up the definition of the word please.

You could certainly make a case of racism in the term "ghetto," which was used, and somehow all of you missed that.

This is more stereotyping of people than anything else. And it's two guys who can't stand each other. No, not all welfare recipients, or anywhere near the majority, are crack whores. People with drug problems are everywhere, even in Herscher.

Braidwood, IL is a town that has a heroin usage and dealing problem. A big bust was made down there of dealers not very long ago. And Braidwood is very close to Herscher.

We all stereotype people from time to time. Everyone on this board has been guilty of it, including me.

All true... my problem was with an idiot with no clue claiming that 100% of our residents receive welfare when its clearly not close to being true, its way below the state average.. and even funnier considering his schools low income % is 3X higher ... lol

OK that's fine. But just make your point and leave the personal stuff out of it. I would ask him to do the same too. But I know with you two that is impossible.

I spoke out about how the girls tournament was a farce back then and Whitney Young should just play the Lady Raiders for a trophy while everyone else play in the tourney. I'd like to see similar honesty from a particular segment of the football fans.

I think I've always been consistent on siding with the kids when it comes to letting them play.

And I know this bumpkin isn't crying about being called Huckleberry

Funny that once I hammered you with facts you got very quiet... wasn't crying at all, just pointing out how stupid you are.. perhaps your community could just thank us bumpkins that subsidy your lifestyle and provide you a food source..

Huckleberry, the facts were already provided. Your whole community has been at the government nipple so long you think it's actually your right. Bout time you all start pulling your weight.

Once again, low income totals:

BHS- 51%
HHS- 17%

We see what community is on the nipple, don't let the facts get in the way of your good story..

So you say it was a farce, but you are now advocating for the same situation to happen in football? You don't make sense.

I will always advocate for the kids playing. The fact that the girls program was operating the way private schools operate and getting the same results supports my fix of separating the state series. And even then I would prefer an imperfect series than a system that says kids can't play. It makes plenty sense.

What doesn't make sense is your whining about one and ignoring the other.

Hey, I like the song. Always have. Just trying to lighten things up a little. We are less than two weeks from Christmas. Let's be a little thankful here.

First time I have ever heard it... lol
I prefer classic country to today's country. But, my taste in music is very wide. From classical to hard rock and pretty much everything in-between, including jazz, blues, R&B. You name it, I probably have it or listen to it.
