Glad to see Tatum doing well. Of course, this is kinda like being the 2nd string QB for the Colts or Saints. You have no shot at beating the starter. Of course starting catchers can't play162 games Hopefully, Tatum will get 15-30 starts and some DH or pinch-hitting duties along the way.

Weiters will start for them, and I'm kind of surprised that the Orioles aren't going with a more veteran guy as a back-up than Tatum to help Weiters along.

I bet Tatum will start about 50-60 games behind the plate for them.

Hope you are right. Maybe they will try not overwork Wieters, and can alsorest Wieters' legs but keep his bat by playing him some at DH. That would be good for Tatum. Advance 2010 projections by Bill James show Wieters playing in 148 games.

Or is that just at catcher? His stats may be skewed by Tatum's lack of playing time.
