Per RPI, our win over Austin Peay was better than any win we will get over Arkansas this weekend. Arkansas is 56 in RPI and the reason is they have played a ton of SWAC teams. They are 8-0 (likely 9-0 after today) vs. sub 200 teams. By the end of the year, I expect Araknsas to be in the top 50 though.

Next week is really big for us- South Alabama is #11 in RPI and Florida is still #30 in RPI despite a losing record.

Yep. Yesterday was statistically(rpi-wise) the second best win of the season for us.

However, the Arky series will cause a bigger "jump" in our wins, since it's on the road -- and the weighting is so much different.

I think baseball at home counts as 0.7 win or 1.3 loss, while on the road it counts as 1.3 win and 0.7 loss. If we can win 3 of the next 4(all on the road), we should be inside the RPI top 10...

That's why I don't bother with RPI this early on. By the end of the year, Arkansas will probably be a much better RPI than Austin Peay. If not, then that's good for us.

According to Warren Nolan, Rutgers is #11 in RPI at 8-12, which is further proof that RPI this early in the season is worthless.

Really need to win the series this weekend. I think this series and the Ole Miss series are the difference in us going 14-10 from here on out versus 12-12.

The Hogs are coming off a very strong sweep of USCe. Hope we can take 2 of 3.
