Interesting stat about that touchdown. It was Don Smith’s only carry of the game and the final rushing attempt of his career. He only played one more season in the NFL, and was exclusively a kick returner for the Dolphins. No idea why he got the ball on the goal line in the Super Bowl instead of Thurman Thomas.
