What do you mean by halftime score, this might be A 40 point margin halfway through the second quarter.
I see CM 's Record as 4–1. Am I missing something? Aren't they 5–1?

George Egofske, mentioned in another thread and former AD at Rich South, would have been beside himself. The poor Stars have given up an average of almost 51 a game while scoring just over 6. Really tough situation down there.

They had a chance to make the right hire there a few years ago but let the politics of their school board make the decision. Feel bad for the kids who have guys coaching them that have been let go from football coaching multiple times in that district. They just recycle the same bad coaches from school to school. One gets fired from one Rich school coaching staff and becomes a coordinator/head coach at another Rich school. Political gain and friendships over whats best for the kids.
Between Rich Township, CM, and Blooms, its like the CPS South and CM is Phillips. Gets the best kids from the surrounding area to "transfer/move" in and play.

Score will be 90-0.

Where would Marian place if they were in the Southland instead of the ESCC?

Make your own judgement on the following true anecdote. A classroom teacher with tenure at Rich South, who coached FB annually, took a job at TF North, even adding to his travel time from home by about 30 minutes.

They've made lots of political mistakes with that school board! Good teachers have left over the years and they hire retread coaches who leave after a year. Terrell Alexander is doing the best of the 3 school at Rich Central.
They have ruined a lot of things in 227 but they could care less. Look how bad the Dipper has gotten. It's a shame.

Kinda like private schools going in districts in the south suburbs and Indiana getting kids. Get off the haterade. Whenever a program gets good it's gotta be a catch? Really laughable. Looks like they play anyone who wants to schedule them. Why can't you State the obvious! They have great youth programs in their district. Stop the non sense! Although you have valid points about the Rich district. They need something fresh!

Probably 5th or 6th. Maybe as high as 3rd.
Marian Football is on life support! It's really sad to see. As long as HF football is there they can't compete. Facilities are like a small college. And tuition is cheaper. Tough times for the Spartans.

They ran a damn good AD out of there as well as his secretary years ago in what ofc the media ignored was pure racial discrimination.

The area once was very nice is pretty much trash so they aren't getting the quality kids like they used to

The Dipper got bad because of the violence that happened there years back.Nobody really wants to go there anymore.Hillcrest started getting bad in the late 80's.The Rich schools all were gems with a good mix of race and almost everyone got along and the schools were very nice.Dateline NBC did a number on the people who fled those areas when the projects got torn down and those people moved to those areas.Ofc Dateline did a follow up that showed the people were smart in getting out because the areas had gotten so bad.Star shot off the scoreboard at South,Many dangerous incidents at the school which SWAT had to be flown in at one time plus state police at the Big Dipper & the big parking lot fight with the Central/South kids after a bomb threat.Central & Hillcrest also had a big brawl after a basketball game.South & Central have had to play Varsity only games starting at 6 or Saturday games.South has a fence separating home and away which was unheard of back in the day.

The Rich South he knew is long gone. When the housing projects sent many into that school teachers fled. They said it went from being on easy street to being in a zoo and unsafe. And complaints fell on deaf ears

Superac777...You should mention the forced opening of the magnet HS which became a way to extort money from the parents of those enrolled. How about the principal quitting this year and then a few short months later demanding he have his position back. The feeder district lower level has more family members in lofty positions than the Mormons. Mark and Nancy were nothing but a bump in the road for the "proper folks" to be installed and the Dipper fiasco to take hold. The dynasty George Egofske built...the right way I may add, has been gone since the 90's. Thank George for the three point line in IHSA basketball by the way. Yes, the Rich Township of olde makes the Lincoln-Way North closing appear tame, but the press won't cover any of this...I wonder why? LWN is / was the nearest non-district HS by the way to these criminals.

This. You are very familiar with the area. I attended school there when Egofske was still coaching in the late 80s and we had a run of about six years in the playoffs and trips to the semifinals and top ten rankings in the Sun Times and Tribune.

The school started noticeably changing around 1988 and the area went down the drain when they added that exit off of 57 on to Sauk Trail.

The inmates are in charge of the asylum now. It's a complete mess like any CPS. Whenever anybody asks which HS I went to I now say Marian Catholic or Providence Catholic. I in no way want to be associated with the train wreck they've created in Rich Township. I moved from there twenty years ago and have never regretted it for a single second.

Thank You.Many crucified me years ago on FB when I talked about this. They "claimed" South was always bad and that I was racist lol. That is always the answer. There is a story somewhere on the internet about how people left The Southeast Sides and West Side and gangs and danger to better themselves in these nice communities. Then they were so upset because the gangs and bad people were given free housing to move by them again. When Providencetown was built in CC Hills it started bringing in the bad people. They had some bad trouble in the 70's and by 90 it went downhill

Same happened with the TF Schools(South barely hanging on) and the Thorns but Thornton started getting bad in the 70's but I had no issues playing/watching games there in the 80's
