Seems I remember back in the early 2000s the university giving him a big body Caddy during a game to commemorate 50 yrs of service? Can anyone confirm?

One of the few things Templeton did right if this was the case.

Yes that happened. I was at the game. Also, I have a Dawgsbite newspaper somewhere with the story. So it would have been mid 1990s.

Larry Templeton was Jack's spotter for Years. LT did it in HighSchool through College. he sorta grew Up in our Ath. Dept.

It was a gold Buick. I used to pass him on the way to games on 45 driving it. I think it was wrecked and replaced with another one.

I actually thought it was Rudy Dossett in Tupelo that provided it. Maybe he provided the replacement one.
