I have gotten to know a big UT supporter over the last couple of years from running into him on a weekly basis. The guy supposedly played football at a smaller university in tenn. then got a masters from UT (family ties to UT as well). Anyway, this guy apparently is pretty plugged in. I asked him a few days ago about Croom and their plethora of wr commits recently and he told me that their plans for Croom was TE without a doubt. Cool story, I know, but apparently the sane message board UT fans have info. that Croom is headed for TE.

They've signed something like six 4* or 5* WRs over the last two seasons. It's inevitable that he will be "guided" to the tight-end slot. If his heart is set on WR, he's made a mistake.

If he is under 7 figures, I wouldn't count on his information....</p>

Happens all the time at any school. However, I think it's much more likely he's going to be lining up on the LOS with his hands on the ground and blocking at UT. Just a quick look at personnel and philosophy on offense tells that story.

and now he's an OLineman. Matt Wells wanted to play RB, now he might start at OLB. I doubt Cameron Lawrence ever thought he'd play LB. Fletcher Cox thought he was a rush end, now he's in the middle.

My guess is that we told Croom he'd be a WR. But once he got here and shot up to 245 lbs he'd be a TE for us too.
