From what I've read in Marshmellow's briefs, the documentary is about how MSU is a dirty program and Croom didn't win because he wouldn't let players take money or benefits from coaches or boosters.

What a load of crap. We had some of the dirtiest players in sports on our team during his tenure and he's credited for cleaning us up.

I can't help but feel like this is a ploy by whatever producer and Croom to help get Croom a college coaching job again. No way 5-9 years ago he pulls a stunt like this and does an hour long interview with ESPN talking about himself.

We sucked because he sucked

For instance, true story- he fell asleep on a recruits couch during an in home visit.

That would be a silly way

That would be a silly way to try to get another job. Now, not only do you look incompetent as a coach, but you will get on national TV and bad mouth your last college employer. You would get black listed in seconds....no school would touch you with a ten foot pole. Trust me, when I hire someone I check the facebook, myspace, twitter, google the whole nine yards not just to see how they present themselves but also how they talk about their past employers.

I don't think this rumor is true. It would be career suicide for Croom at the collegiate level. Of course, he seems to me to be one of those that thinks his **** doesn't stink and "how could you NOT hire me...I'm Crooooom....the greatest coach in the world I just have bad players." What a joke of a "professional".

His failure had nothing to do with his being an incompetent, non-qualified buffoon, I'm sure. Hell, if we assume he was actually competent and qualified, but just held back by his personal integrity and refusal to shade things or bend rules, then that would explain why Delaney has lined him up for each and every B1G head coach opening since his oversized incompetent *** golf-carted out of Oktibbeha County.

This **** ain't nothing but a thinly veiled attempt to introduce racism back into the equation. We wouldn't allow the black coach to succeed.

NOTE TO BCA and its media apologists: Crxxms is not your poster boy for mistreated minority coaches. He got FIVE f'n years and was paid WAY above his competency to prove himself as a coach. He failed.

Good gracious I wish somehow Sylvester Croom's name could be erased from any association with MSU athletics.

Really? Damn... I've never even heard of someone falling asleep on what is essentially a sales call before.

Only a man with true character would do that. Y'all need to rehire him stat.

I had to resist throwing up all over McCool when they mentioned LT having multiple spots in the movie.

The funniest thing to me is Saban is on there saying how much of great coach he is. A week after he defended Western Kentucky's supremecy.

I just can't wait to see which players are interviewed. Please be Carroll.

I heard that too from someone who supposedly was on that trip. I think he said it was in Caledonia (or perhaps some other place close to Columbus).

I'm pretty certain he's going to blame everyone under the sun...

for his gigantic failure as a head coach. Because, you know, you can't win here.

Yeah, that's something. He could prevent players from receiving any "gifts", but couldn't stop the firearm incident that went down at Zacharias Village (is this the right place?) or the bar fight in Lowndes County.

"I just can't wait to see which players are interviewed. Please be Carroll."

What's the significance of Carroll? Any story that I never was told or have forgotten?

As do I. We made a deal with the devil with that hire. He is still an albatross.

I still wonder what kind of idiot AD looked at Croom and said "Here's the man for the Job!" This guy knows college football. Unfortunately Bama was smart enough not to hire him. LT wasn't.
