Hence Croom's words after Saturday's game, which gave State fans who were growing weary of the team's stagnant offense - based on West Coast principles since Croom's arrival - reason to think it was changing.</p>

"We're going to be an 'I' football team," Croom said Saturday. "That's what we're going to do. We'll mix some other stuff in there and we've got some of that east-west kind of things in there that (backup tailback Christian) Ducre was running, the three-wides and all that stuff.</p>

"But hey, that's my fault - we were doing too much of that stuff. We're going to line up in the 'I' and run right at people. If we can't win doing that, we're not going to win."</p>

So it takes him four and a half the seasons to figure this out??
He is one dumb son a *****..
We were playing Vandy... Vandy....They don't over-power anyone except Ole Miss...
We do this against LA-Tech and we win the game.

That quote didn't mean much in my opinion. I think he was just happy we won so he was just speaking off of emotions.

Maybe I am taking this quote out of context, but this should be a fire-able offense. How about doing whatever it takes to win.

Now, I think he said we NEED to score points via the pick 6. I'll still agree with that statement, unless it is followed by "if we're going to win".

He's been in the college game for 5 years and still plays to win by a field goal... Just keeping it close until the 4th and try to score on the last possession. It doesn't always work in college. That is what got Shula fired.

by the way...why did we stray from throwing to the running backs out of the backfield Saturday? It worked well in Baton Rouge. I didn't see much of it vs. Vandy.

What Croom says Sunday through Friday has no bearing on what he actually does on Saturdays.

Anyway, I hope we can find a way to win Saturday. It would be huge. It's a hard one to pick clearly, but I like the fact that we're coming off a win. Confidence can play a huge role, and it's the first time we've earned any all season.
