He'll own all the 1 star legacies he wants between B'ham and Mobile. Don't think Crooms will help him much in MS.

My one fear would him making an all out push to get Russell to Knoxville. Other than that I could care less.

I hope he's team chaplain. For the rest of the SEC's sake, hopefully they'll make him QB coach or Assistant Clock Management coach.

1. Under pure contract law, Croom would be under the duty to mitigate damages by taking a job. The compensation would offset anything owed to him by state b/c of his "firing." I doubt Tenn would pay him what he made at MSU.

2. BUT, when he left he "resigned" and it is probable some sort of agreement was made between Croom and MSU covering this issue. MSU could have agreed to pay him a set amount without regard to any future salary from another job. Basically, it all depends on what kind of deal got struck at his "resignation." If it was a true resignation with no other agreement, then MSU would owe him nothing. I think we all doubt this is the case. I don't think MSU is goingn to reveal the deal, nor will Croom. I heard OM waived mitigation when they fired O. I don't know if that is true.
