Mirando has been on the recruits all year. Croom made his decision. Hope he reconsiders, but if he doesn't that is fine too.

Let's move on to the other recruits. Simple as that.

**We didn't need him anyway. We are loaded at WR. Hope his mom enjoys her career at UT. I'm sure he's just another 4 star pre-madonna.

We can use that scholarship on a 2 star player that wants to be at MSU and Mullen can mold him into a great player. **

UT has committed 4 WRs; make that 5 with the addition of Croom;
UT signed 3 WRs in the 11 Class;
UT runs form a Pro Set Formation, NOT a Spread Formation;
UT has committed 0 TEs this Year;
UT signed 1 TE in the 11 Class;
Croom says that he wants to play WR not TE;
Croom just committed to playing TE in a Pro Set

What am I missing? Oh yeah ... Cecil <scratch that="that"> ... momma made the decission</scratch>

Screw that, I think we should play "THE game" or we will be on the bottom of"THE" SEC west. Have you seen what aTm has done so far this year also. Wont be long till our talent level wont be able to keep up with the others. We cant keep saying Mullen brings in 2 stars and coaches them up...we need 4 stars and coach them up!!!!!!!!

being in his top two says something. Outside of just getting a phone call from a coach what connection does he have to MSU, none. We beat out a lot of big name teams to have a real shot and frankly it's still a long way until signing day. And before anyone accuses me of being a sheep, I too think we need to get some big time talent. Missing on a guy from Norcross GA in August is not like missing on kids from Mississippi in January. We better lock down a few more of these MS Dandy Dozen. Maybe Miami and Ohio State's recent trouble will cool down some of the cash flowingthroughout the recruiting process.
I think Mullen can coach up players, better than a lot of other coaches. Just think of what he could do with a stable of top level talent!

We have quality in our current recruiting class. Losing this battle is bad, but our class has a ton of talent as it stands. Mullen will get his 4-5 star players, and when he does they will be coached up to even a higher level.

and as others have posted, Pro Set with 7 other guys signing between this year and last year. If we have a historical year like Im expecting, recruits will take notice.

Or maybe the Virgin Mary was really cocky before she got preggers with Jesus?....

It's "primma donna", *******

I apologize in advance if those sarcasterisks also applied to the "pre-madonna" portion... that **** reminds me of a lot wasted time when I used to really follow recruiting and therefore read genespage a lot.... referring to cocky, self-absorbed kids (AKA, any recruit that didn't pick MSU) as "pre-madonnas" was a uncorrected epidemic... it may still be.

even if he committed to MSU today I wouldn't be feeling overconfident. If people remember we had Rajon Neal committed for over a year and Scotty Hopson committed for over a year and both got taken away from us late by Tennis Shoe. Given Mullen is not playing the game and the fact that a guy like Croom is 2 states away who will be feeling pressure from top SEC programs all the way to February would not have left me feeling confident even if he had committed. Best chance for us on Croom would be if we had a really good year and TN doesn't and the NCAA drops additional sanctions on the TN program between now and February.

there was no game to play...mom was a lifelong UT fan (she said so herself)...has been on the UT boards for the last few months (and is still posting on volnation)...we never REALLY had a shot at this one..we only thought we did apparently. So, no shady dealings, back room deals....just a son fulfilling a dream for a mom....her exact words...

Of course a few of the so-called big names come to mind, but all in all how many guys in our last few classes were commits to someone else, and how many actual commits did we lose in those years? I really have no idea but it doesn't seem like it would be more than two or three. These HS players get raked over the coals for their attention whorish ways, but it seems like a vast, vast majority of them do what they say they are gonna do.
