"I'm not worried about what's happening four years from now, I'm going to let someone else worry about that, if that needs to be" "I'm worried about winning today. Burning a red shirt, all I want to do is win a game"

"My philosophy is to play guys that can help us win games. I talked with Nick Saban, I talked to other coaches about it, when you get real good athletes, hey, might go into the draft after their junior year, you never know"

Wow, just wow

to repeatedly shoot his mouth off to the media in an attempt to remind fans of who's in charge.

Here's the full quote. Notice he answered the question completely with everything he said before his dramatic pause. But no..... He can just never pull a punch. His diarreha of the mouth simply forces him to continue on even though it wasn't really the question Veazey even asked.

Clark, of course, is the true freshman whose redshirt MSU burned tonight - in the eighth game of the season. Clark's final stat line was one carry for two yards, so I asked Croom this: "Given how little Arceto played, are you still comfortable burning his redshirt?"

His answer: "Yeah. We're going to play him some more. (Pauses) Guys, I'm not worried about what's happening four years from now. I'm going to let somebody else worry about that if that needs to be. I'm worried about winning a game today. And burning a redshirt? Hey, all I want to do is win today. We're going to play him next week, we're going to play him the week after that, and what happens four or five years from now, I'm not concerned about. Now, don't get me wrong, and I know somebody will go out there and say, hey, my philosophy is to play guys that can help us win games. I talked to Nick Saban, talked to other coaches about it. When you get real good athletes, hey, these guys might go in the draft after their junior year, you never know. So I'm not going to worry about it. If a guy can help us play, we're going to play him. We go from there. He's going to play next week, so that's not a concern of mine."

Exactly. That makes no sense. If you're really all about getting the best athletes on the field, you determine by about the 3rd game who is good enough that they need to be on the field immediately. You don't decide that in the 8th game. Seems to me that he's getting desperate at the moment. You don't just up and decide in the 8th game that a guy is now good enough to play this year.

I'd be pissed if I were Clark. Most players would rather redshirt than play a handful of plays in 5 games.

"You know what, phuck you, and phuck Mississippi State Univeristy. I know my fat *** won't be around much longer, so all I care about is winning just enough games that I can get on ESPN and talk about how ignorant you inbred country phucks are and how I wasn't given a chance. I don't give a **** what happens at this school, as long as I keep my image up enough to land a gig somewhere else."

I don't know about you guys, but this sounds like a quote from a man who is fairly certain he won't be around much longer.

In all honesty, I think that Croom is half right in doing this. When you're a head coach at any level, you do whatever the hell it takes to win ballgames. If Croom is just now realizing in game 8 that Clark could help us, then the man is a dumbass, but he did the right thing if it helped us win the game no matter how many touches he got.

With that being said, this goes completely against everything that Sly has preached since coming to State. Building a foundation, teaching these men how to succeed at life, creating a program... You can throw all that crap out the door when you take an entire year of a kid's eligibility away to give him the ball once. The man truly is a walking contradiction.

to go. People's patience has either run out or is running out. In four years, he's either turned it around and gone or just gone.

We'll beat KY and the sheep will scream that we're back on the right track. Of course, UARK, UAT and OM won't be so nice

That fat @*%@ has no clue...

If Clark is so good why wait 8 games and then he touches the ball 1 time....What joke...
Other teams hope all our secret weapons are that dangerous.

You can throw in all of his talk about "doing things the right way" and "not going for the quick fix" onto the pile of crap that is just that: a bunch of crap.
