Has anyone listened to Sly's interview on Atlanta radio on the DJ blog? He says McCorvery was already gone. Woody was going to accept an administrator role inside the athletic department. He said he had talked to Al Borges about becoming the next offensive coordinator, and Al was going to get back to him after the Ole Miss game. I seriously think he would have kept his job if it werent for the Ole Miss game. What that game did show was that in year 5 he was still completely unprepared to be a head coach.

Thank you Greg Byrne</p>

particularly interesting that he mentioned something about working 18 or 20 hours a day...doubtful if he ever did that in ONE day...word is that he was lazy as hell.

It wouldn't have mattered, because the HC would've been the same.

I'm just glad he isn't throwing us under the bus completely.

It was known that Croom had been talking to AB during the season. It is completely believable, hell most of us expected, for Croom to stay and for a new OC to come on.

And if he had done it in the summer of 08 like most fans wanted him to, he would still be wearing the only color that matters. Crooms mistook the excitement of the bowl win for contentment and his gamble didn't pay off. Any sane fan that watched the Egg Bowl and the Liberty Bowl were screaming for an offensive change and Mr. Stubborn stood pat. His fault. 17 off Crooms!

Look, I hate that it didn't work out and I appreciate the opportunity I was given to coach at MSU. They saw something in me that my own school did not and for that I will be forever grateful. MSU wanted to go a different way and the end of the season and I wish them the best. Instead of trashing Starkville and making excuses. WTF. I mean we are paying this fatass 3 million dollars. The least he could do is not trash the town. Maybe I am overreacting, but it just pisses me off to basically say that it is damn near impossible to recruit kids to Starkville.

is not taking that approach is exactly why he has no "class" which I am sick and tired of hearing ad nauseam. Don't expect the talking heads to ask him any hard questions, either. All they're interested in is ratings.

gives time frames for everything. He said they had decided Woody was going to step down after the Kentucky game, which I found interesting. Our best offensive performance was against Arkansas , and Woody knew he was done.
