I'm interested in your thoughts.

1) Did he build your program the right way to compete for conference championships?

2) Has the foundation been laid for the next coach to compete for conference championships?

3) Was it his decision to resign?

This is not a smack post. Obviously most of us Rebels would prefer he stuck around (simply being honest here).

If any of you want to reply, I'll give my outsider perspective thoughts later.

Thanks

1. No. I don't know what "built the right way" has ever meant other than winning or at least improving. We have done NEITHER. My best guess as to what it actually means is solid recruiting (which may have been getting better), player development (please....don't get me started), and game management (not enough time in the day to discuss how many examples) all done without cheating. I'm pretty sure he hasn't cheated.

2. Not for a while. See any NFL-quality linemen yesterday wearing Maroon?

3. Not a chance. $1.7M per year to coach at a school where half the fan base thinks you need 10 years to overcome double-secret probation? What-freakin'-ever.
