it's two weeks to go, but unless there's a light rain or it's time for the St. James Art Fair, we should have a very good crowd for Georgia Tech. About 47k and 48k for the first two games. You figure Tech will bring some fans, and there will be more interest now that we are in to conference. I predict 53k if there is good weather. 48k if not.

You going to fly in for the game? There is a daily direct flight now from and to Boston & Louisville now! Did not know if you had knowledge of that Bean Man!

Actually I’m in Connecticut these days but kept the moniker. It sounds better than “Nutmegcard”. I’ll be out of country, sadly, for the GT game.

55k is what I'll go with.

Last year we played BC at home at 3:30 on a similar date and got about 48k. But we've had a year with a lot of good momentum and people are buying in. We are ranked and vibes are just solid. Great start time too. I think it will be a great crowd. We'll have 2 weeks to build some hype.

Here were our Saturday crowds last year
BC 48k at 330
ND 59k at night
Duke 52k at 330
VT 50k at 330
UK 59k at noon

I think Brohm built up some good will last year and people are buying in again. It takes time, but Saturday will show the fans are back invested.

Bourbon & Beyond will be going on at the Fairgrounds during Georgia Tech game. Hotels and parking will be in high demand.

Sounds like too much will be competing with GT-UofL. Big events within a mile or less, at about the same time.

I will go with 49,500.

Not to mention Georgia @ UK 75 miles away @ 7:30.

The Georgia @ UK is this Saturday, not next.

Go for 51,500. And they will have a great time watching the Cards wreck Georgia Tech. 38-24.
I think you close on the score margin and the score but disagree a little on both. I am going to say more like 34 to 17 Cards IMO. And I am going to say good weather 52,650.

I say a little more than the last game. I don’t understand why the place isn’t packed every game? Maybe ticket prices? It really hurts recruiting imo as these kids make multiple visits.

Although a sign that says FREE works for me all the same.
That only works for a fraction of people....remember the free tickets of the 70's at Convenient Food Marts(Speedway, Thornton's, etc).

There needs to be a real perceived value that helps (re)build ownership that elicits investment and hopefully can build upon itself in a long term sustainable way. This requires putting long term goals ahead of short term desires and that has often been absent for quite a few years at UofL.

Don’t they publish tickets sold rather than tickets scanned? It was a decent crowd, but there were a hell of a lot of empty seats. I seriously doubt there were 50k there.

It was freakin miserably hot but I don’t think our fanbase will ever sell out against unranked teams. For that matter even get 50,000. It is just the reality of a passionate but small fan base.

About Exactly what I saw! My estimate that of an 35 + year season tic holder. And I Lifetime Legacy Tic and Donor at L & N Stadium. Quick worrying about crowd size, especially if your comment is from a TV watcher. Start buying tics and go to the game. Miserable conditions, and our crowd hung in there.! And helped win the game in the 4th!!

I can’t argue with your experience but it sure didn’t look like that much to me. :)

Another thing that seems to always be overlooked, there’s usually a packed crowd on the flight deck.

I have watched a lot of football already this year and I have only seen a couple of full stadiums and I am including SEC and B1G schools.

There was a ton of people escaping the heat in the AE Club during the game. Assume that was true in the other air conditioned areas. Brutal weather, but we have weather issues of some type every year.

Here's the top seasons in home attendance per game. This program can do more than just occasionally hit 50K. It can average that number for the entire season...

2016 - 54,065
2014 - 52,972
2013 - 52,914
2023 - 51,252
2010 - 50,648
2018 - 50,251
2012 - 49,991

It’s hard to get a good count with the party deck. Also I’m sure plenty were below deck due to the extreme heat. But I suspect the number of actual fans in attendance was closer to 45,000. But hey I think given the extreme heat it was a good turnout. Also I think Bourbon and Beyond took some fans.
The fans that were there were into the game and extremely loud especially in the 4th quarter. I watched the recorded game this morning and we sounded loud on tv. Great day!

I can say that the Angels Envy club was completely totally full on the lower and suite mezzanine levels. I had never seen it this packed on a clear sunny day. There are massive screens in there and people just stayed in starting in the 2bd quarter. Had to be the same on the PNC Club side.

The party deck was Slim Pickins.
