Nope, as of last weeks projections they weren't even in the top 5 largest 4A schools.Check again. The way it is shaking out they are the first team in 5A.
So you're saying Chatham's passing game is better than Carmel's?No Prov SURVIVED Carmel!
Cary Grove has several injuries early in the PR game which has a direct effect in the 34-21 loss and the following weeks 10-7 lose but the Trojans have righted the ship..CG has to survive the north. Prairie Ridge already beat them once by two scores and St. Francis is in the north as well.
All.... Focus please. I'm saying Chatham would beat NLP. Couldn't care less who they beat or who deafeted them. (lol) RatsySo you're saying Chatham's passing game is better than Carmel's?
Provi beat a 7A playoff team with an elite QB, I don't think anyone in 5A worries them.
who Provi played and who they beat kind of goes towards whether Chatham could beat them or not.All.... Focus please. I'm saying Chatham would beat NLP. Couldn't care less who they beat or who deafeted them. (lol) Ratsy
*SIGH*, here we go again. Don't use the IHSA playoff outlook. It still lists 0-7 and 1-6 teams which are eliminated but still effects enrollment numbers and who ends up in which class. In every projection so far this year Montini has been 4A and nothing has changed. Your screenshot also has Montini at 7-0 even though they won tonight, so it's not even up to date.
All.... Nope. They said the same thing by the way in 2019 (not quite the same schedule) when the Titans hammered them 40-16 in postseason play. I see you like to argue... Can't believe a team I have no real love for I'm talking about. Ratsywho Provi played and who they beat kind of goes towards whether Chatham could beat them or not.
All.... CG is my off the grid sneak team although PR is the team to beat in 5A. Those two will meet again in the north bracket and that game is going to be my upset pick with the Trojans winning. Outlook has them currently sitting as the largest team in 5A at 1310.00. Big game with Jacobs coming up.... RatsyCary Grove has several injuries early in the PR game which has a direct effect in the 34-21 loss and the following weeks 10-7 lose but the Trojans have righted the ship..
Very strange, was scratching my head after the first series or two when Scheffler and the two star WR were not on the field. I donāt understand it as I did not see any of them pick up an injury.Springfield sat several important players for most or all of the game. Will wait for an explanation from Coach Hebb. I was wondering why the Solons offense was playing very conservatively in the 2nd Quarter, then looked at the roster sheet and saw QB Brody Scheffler was not taking snaps. Heard afterwards that Thurman and Newman also either didn't play or were only in a few series,
good call.Best game of the week.... Jacksonville @ MacArthur This is the BIG one for the Crimsons. It's their week eight "playoff game." I'm going to pick the Crimsons in an upset although playing at MacArthur and winning isn't easy. Ratsy
go with your heart. If I had to put $$$ on the DMac/Jacksonville game I would say DMac 28-20... But my heart says Jacksonville 21-20!
Can't believe the Radha's gave up a score!Final
QND 56 Lincoln 7
Well the Titans woke up in the 4th Q and scored 28 points but Im puzzled why it took so late for a fire to be lit under the Titans asses! Playing scared, not to lose... not sure, but something needs to improve.Week 9 Matchups
Chatham (8-0) at Springfield (5-3)
Eisenhower (1-7) at Southeast (2-6)
MacArthur (5-3) at QND (6-2)
Lincoln (1-7) at Jacksonville (4-4)
Lanphier (1-7) at U High (4-4)
Rochester (7-1) at SHG (6-2)
How many return TD's does Doellman have this season? I've seen at least 3 on highlights.

Thru Week 7, 1450 had Doellman with a conference leading (Non-QB) 15 total TD's and Lehnen and Groesch next both with 14.Edit: IT's 4... 3 punt, 1 kickoff. I forgot about his 2 "rushing" TD's.
Second Edit: Add these 4 to his tally of 6 from Fr/So/Jr seasons for a total of 10 total punt/kickoff returns for TD in his high school career. For our program, much like Mr. Scott on defense a year ago, this kid is something very special. Couldn't be happier for him and his family also.
Receiving: 38 rec, 575 yd, 9 TD
He leads the league in TDs (15) and overall scoring (92 pts) this season.
Can likely scratch most of that. I forgot I missed a week of stats this season when I was out of town a couple weeks back. I'll have to update and get back to this. Idk how often they update the Channel1450 stats, I also don't pay for the premium content on that site so I'm unsure, I just know they usually provide fairly accurate stats for the current season. Regardless, the total on the punt/kickoff TDs is correct. The yardage, total TD, and scoring tallies are a week off for me. I think Gavin's likely still leading in the scoring and TD categories, but there's likely a few big names close to him up there... Thurman or Scheffler (SHS), Cunningham (U-High), Knoedler or Lehman (Glenwood), Brinkman or Groelsch (sp? sorry if I butchered that) (SHG).
I will also add, bc we've been asking for about 3 years now, why in the world are people still kicking to this kid!?!?
All.... If I may for the Rockets other then then the qb's? Forgot to mention they have changed the forecast by the way for this Friday. It was supposed to be mid 50's rain on and off starting in the afternoon through the evening. Now showing a high of 62 and no rain. I went back and tried to correct the week I had missing... Idk if I'm right anymore but I'm never very confident in my stat keeping abilities if I'm being honest. Hence why I don't offer my services in any capacity. I just like to have it as a means to making me more focused in how I watch the game. However, this should be close enough for my next statement... In a world where we were allowed to crown a true league MVP in the CS8, I think the shortlist would, and should, absolutely include Gavin Doellman.Thru Week 7, 1450 had Doellman with a conference leading (Non-QB) 15 total TD's and Lehnen and Groesch next both with 14.
He'd be 5th in scoring according to the IHSA stats page, buuuuuut those are self reported so I'm sure there's a number of people missing. The RB for LeWin had 8 TDs just last week.I went back and tried to correct the week I had missing... Receiving: 40 rec, 627 yds, 10 TD ---> going to assume both that I'm close to the correct tally there AND that lands him somewhere "in the middle" behind Lehman, Cunningham, Thurman and anyone from Rochester or SHG on the WR list that I'm failing to think of at the moment.
Rushing: 7 att, 150 yds, 3 TD ----> just included since it reflects his TD total. Could also be noted these were all RPO-esque throws in the backfield, not hand off runs.
Kickoff/Punt Return: 5 TD (3 punt, 2 kickoff) -----> I was off by one, bc I'd missed a game he had one in. A blessing, as you all can understand, is this stat line right here. But also, that means his HS career total is at 11 kickoff and punt returns for touchdown. Doesn't need to be said, but that's a record here at QND.
I have him at 18 total TD and 112 pts on the season including his one and only 2pt conversion reception. I find it hard to think anyone's touching that outside of a QB but I know that's a silly statement as the programs who allowed us into this league are quite good at football and have many upon many upon many a stud donning their colors every week. We have one true stud, and his name is Gavin. Personally just grateful you all got to "meet him" in some way or another here these past two seasons.
***Thank you rocket for making that point in your post about Gavin being the leading scorer in the league (non-QB). I would agree that's a necessary point worth noting. I would have to think, and if I was forced to guess, that Cam Brinkman or Brody Scheffler likely lead the charge for overall total scoring, TD's, and yardage. Brinkman being a legit dual threat QB, and Brody who's clearly put an empahsis this year on taking what defenses give him, which means running more than he's used to, especially in short yardages as I've seen 3 times in games this season now.
And for what it's worth, my list for CS8 overall MVP this season would be as follows...
1. Colton Knoedler (Glenwood)
2. Brody Scheffler (Springfield)
3. Cam Brinkman (SHG)
4. Gavin Doellman (QND)
5. Cade Cunningham (U-High)
6. First out --- Easton Ackerman (Jacksonville) --- I believe I remember hearing he's the leading rusher in the CS8 this season (non-QB of course!)
Most Improved Player: Cam Brinkman (SHG) --- the game has really slowed down for Cam this season. It was very obvious against us and I'm sure against others if I'd seen all their games. A shout out to his O-line and their obvious improvement as well. That's a collective award I'd vote for all day. Cam is the product of his line's hard work. Gotta give the fat boys their credit.
I feel like that's an unfortunate caveat to high school football in this state, we rely on self reporting for stats at this level. I say in this state simply bc I'm unsure how other states do it. So there's likely a lot of discrepancies within this conversation. I'm not confident my numbers match 1450, which I assume are also self-reported still as they were back in time when I would pay to see them. Maxpreps remains the best example of how self reporting can go awry. He'd be 5th in scoring according to the IHSA stats page, buuuuuut those are self reported so I'm sure there's a number of people missing. The RB for LeWin had 8 TDs just last week.
