While our baseball talent is not ever going to be confused for Thunder and Lightning, Polk at least recruited some players that will try hard and are coachable. I think that is just now starting to pay dividends as far as our offense, defense, and baserunning. At least they are trying to do what Cohen wants to do, and many of them are succeeding. Polk didn't leave the cupboard full, but I don't think he left it bare either. More like a few cans and a bag of rice.
It sounds like a broken record, but we get 1-2 more pitchers, and we will be fine. That's hardly what I would consider the cupboard bare. The problem is, our bullpen is just THAT bad.
Croom left us in worse shape. We have a walk-on QB starting, no WR's physically- as in literally no one there, a questionable o-line, and a decent defense. In football, we are going to basically have to retool the entire offense. That's about half of the team.
