that planned to go? I already talked to someone a few hours after the game that said he is too pissed off to go and he was adamant he wasn't changing his mind.

we beat AU, I was going and if we lost, I wasn't going.

The loss saved me $500 in plane tickets/rental cars.... but I'm pretty sure I would've gladly paid the $500 for us to win.

But I didn't think at the beginning of the season that we would beat Auburn or LSU so nothing has really changed for me.

A new face, offense, and close loses excite fans for only so long. At some point you got to win to keep the fans showing up.

Mullen said this loss will test everyone's character, fans included. It would be different if the team layed down and gave up but that team gave everything they had on that field. Bad calls, bad tackling, bad playcalling whatever you want to blame it on but they gave relentless effort and I am proud to be a Bulldog because of it.

We'll find out who among the fans have the character to stick with the team and their school. If you can't afford the trip that is one thing but to have tickets, hotel reservations, and the trip already budgeted only to not go......you are indeed one of the problems.

Cry me a 17ing river. Support comes before winning for a developing program. This is not a debatable point.

It's not like we cut a check to a CUSA team to come in and beat us.

Disappointed, but not pissed. I'll be there.

Giving up on the team 2 games into the season is ********. I've seen some ****** football in Starkville, but this team will not play a ****** game. If you don't think the defense will be better Thursday, you're crazy. Mullen is going to whip that *** in practice this week.

Auburn had the emotional edge from the word go yesterday, and our team stuck it out to the end, despite the crowd, despite the refs, and despite our "being State." The team didn't give up, and 17 any fan who gives up on them.

If you don't go because we lost yesterday, don't say one goddamn word bragging to anyone if we beat LSU. You don't deserve the right.

I can't believe you would base your decision on whether to go or not on the fact we lost Saturday. I will be there Thursday. I wouldn't miss it.

are the same people saying that the team needs to man up and play harder and the coaches need to do better with play calling etc etc. Well you little pansies need to 17ing man up and be at Davis Wade stadium yelling and screaming in support of this club on Thursday. If yesterday changed your mind than hell with you...you suck as fans so hand your man card over to your wife!

Anybody not going that was planning on going because we lost is 17ing stupid. Passing up the first home game, on Thursday night, against a top 5 team because you are butt hurt that we lost to Auburn is pathetic.

And those of you that decide to stay home for that reason please don't make fun of Ole Miss fans not going to games anymore. At least they are showing up on campus

I'll be there. If you let that game yesterday affect your support for the Bulldogs then you haven't been a bulldog fan for very long. We've been here before and this is why we don't have the sidewalk following that other teams have. A bulldogs character is always going to be tested more than other teams but we will stick together better thruadversity. Just you wait, when the chips start falling (or if) for All-burn, there will be a mass exodus of that sidewalk fan base.

I was there during the 4th during the "Winston Churchill say" game. Not because I was entertained, but it was more about being so pissed off and I just wanted to see Croom waddle his wet *** back to the locker room.

That made me numb enough to absorb the bad losses. If someone doesn't go due to Auburn, how the hell did you get back to campus during the early 2000's? And if we screw up and beat em... Well they will understand why I'm not at work friday.

I will just say it angers me if anybody would actually not go to the game in response to the Auburn game. Good grief. I want to take this team to the next level as well, and I think we will. But let's also remember how things were just a few short years ago.....the Dark Ages, as I call them. At least we are a real team now. Is that good enough? Absolutely not. But we have come a long way.

I will be there....making the 8+ hour one-way drive, as I will 5 other times this season. If you don't want to come to the game because of one performance that didn't turn out the way we all want.....wow.

I would've been delighted to come down for the game if we'd won. Us and LSU both would've been 2-0, and we could've been in the top 15 before the game, looking at the top 10 and 3-0 if we beat LSU including legitimate darkhorse calls for us as conference champions. With the loss, the best we could hope for is the top 15 again at best. The game isn't nearly as big as it could have been on the national stage. Plus I just don't see us responding well to a close loss and having a short week immediately afterward. I'm also not going to take days off of work to see a team get beat in the trenches every down on defense.

Feel free to pound away at my gaping ******.

If the game was Saturday I'd be there. Thursdays are no good for me because when I take off there's no one else to run my company.

Enjoy this season game by game. We aren't ready to win the West. But we might be able to pull an upset here or there. I'd love for it to be LSU.

I attended these games against LSU. We lost in 1993 by a late FG. We got destroyed by a 4 win LSU team in 1994. Freshman Kevin Faulk ran over us in 1995. We played fairly well in a rain storm in 1996, but still lost. We lost to another 4 win LSU team in 1998. I did attend wins against LSU in 1980 and 1981 (back when it was a rivalry that either team could win). I don't live close enough to go to many games now, but if I did I probably wouldn't be there. I'm not sure I want to even watch us lose on TV again. <div>
</div><div>I didn't attend the 1992 game, but I thought it was worth mentioning that we lost to the worst LSU team in history that year, then we beat Florida at home. Thanks Jackie.</div>

...get your a$$ to the game if you can and support this team. We lost, so what...get over it. We could have that clueless walrus running that gulf coast crap and wishing for 6 wins. This is a good team...bring your bell....support your school and your team.

Give that hat, grass-eater -H-E-L-L.

I wish I could be there....
