I am all for legal immigration for specific skill sets that are needed. I would need more data on what they are doing here.
Yes. Are they approving H1B more quickly, but also denying some H1B more quickly, as well. I also want to know where we are at with kicking people out who don’t belong here. You know, the people here on any type of visa who demonstrate against our government or cause public drama.
I'm basing it on Trump's very ignorant comments last night. But, this H1B business started in 1990 and has been a huge negative for American STEM workers.
Contracting rates for engineers have gone down since companies will employ 3 overseas. It's pretty unhealthy.
Based on what I have observed, your average high-performing high school student is 1-2 years ahead of kids from 35 years ago. Plenty of talent to be tapped, so Trump has struck a nerve.
As Rush Limbaugh said, when the media doesn't create you, they can't take you down. Only Trump can take himself down and he is on a roll this week. (Chinese students, Americans not smart (H1Bs), naturalizing them faster, 50-year mortgages).

I think 2 things about this. You can’t have a muslim ripping off a cross in a country founded upon Judeo-Christian values. How in the hell do the cops, the supposed good guys, arrest the victim instead of the criminal? This goes far beyond the cashless bail and judges letting a criminal walk. California is a nutjob place, but Bizzaro World needs to stay in Europe. Where is the Trump DOJ on this? Where is AAG Dhillon?
The H1B’s and bringing in too many foreigners to do these jobs and naturalizing them more quickly is actually detrimental to America. It’s the 2nd Gen that becomes more Americanized. The Old World these people are coming from do not necessarily share loyalty to America. We have to get back to the melting pot and in a hurry or our nation is fubar’d permanently for our children and grandchildren. Immigration and housing costs are also correlated. While I agree that Trump thinks of everything as being business related, there are a lot of top HS in our country churning out STEM students with dual credit courses, Associates already in hand. The flow of all foreigners needs to come to almost a full stop. We need that to slow down greatly and kick all the illegals out. Housing will be more readily available and less expensive for the generation that just voted Commie in NYC. Trump’s view on H1B’s is likely influenced by his pseudo-son, Elon.
This is what communism brings to any country of which it reigns.
I am not disagreeing there is some harm through what he said. I think there is more to consider. The US is currently on the clock to get Trump projects moving at a quick clip. Anything not completed by the end of his term could be scrapped. See the wall. I am under the impression Trump has committed to some nuclear energy plants to support our AI initiatives. We have built one since 2016. Do we have the people here that can do it? Idk. But I am just using this as an example as to why we may need diverse talents from elsewhere right now.
I am also not sure Trump is always well versed in the minutiae of what he is trying to explain. Well honestly, I am certain.

OT- Disney. Here is a 49 second trailer for Toy Story 5. It looks like a good premise but will need to read the reviews and make sure it in non political before taking our grandchildren. The last Toy Story made over $1 billion in sales so it is no wonder they are making another.

Here is the problem, India is investing nada in the USA. The trillions are coming from the Middle East, Western Europe and the Middle East.
India can’t invest in the USA because honestly, name a great Indian company off the top of your head. I can’t!

That was one of Charlie's primary missions: affordable housing (and jobs!) for the youth of America. A deranged trans-dating liberal and/or the deep state killed the greatest voice for their generation - one that had the ear of Trump. It sucks what Jeff's selfish generation has done to America.
