The candidate I voted for had very strong immigration policies, so not sure what you’re referring to in your tired rant.
OT- Wicked for Good. Universal made about $230 million profit on the 1st Wicked movie last year and now is looking at a $150 million US opening weekend box office for part 2: Wicked for Good. I just read an article bemoaning how 2025 has been terrible at the box office for most movies but Universal should be happy with this one.
I probably won't see either part but Wicked is a darker story made into a musical about the Wizard of Oz, apparently as the bad guy, and the Wicked Witch as "misunderstood", while trying to defend magical creatures from the Wizard who is trying to eliminate magic (that's all I know). From what I've read they have handled the fact she has green skin and others' discrimination without getting too preachy.
I think it is interesting that they can make this story into 2 movies (5 hours combined running time) and get people interested enough to go the theater when most other movies are flopping. It currently is at 95% positive on Rotten Tomatoes; this will probably decline as less enthusiastic people see it in the coming weeks. I wonder if the people at Disney can learn something.
ps. I saw the musical on stage so I have an idea of what is in the movie, but 5 hours long?

I don’t know, I find that attribute better than the name calling and villianization we hear from other leaders. Probably makes it easier for him to negotiate with people.
Our last President wouldn’t have been capable of even sitting through a meeting like that. Definitely wouldn’t have been able to answer questions after.
