I don't care about your mom. I though we were talking about basketball not internet points, also you're retarded if you think this rinky dink website has been accurately keeping track of likes for 22 years.
I loathe people that use the “R” word. Severly nasty people and almost always uneducated. Good riddance.

Its not exactly a fantastic scenario dude. We are the outright favorite for Freeman and 50/50 on Stokes
I’m reasonably confident on Freeman, if for nothing else he seems to be out of options on where to go to be a starter. In no world do I think Stokes is anywhere near 50/50. Pope is a pawn in that scenario. But if Pope does somehow land both, we are definitely in the top 5-10.

Were all the SEC 4s big bully monsters? Honestly I don't remember all of them, and I'm not going to claim that I wouldn't have any concern with Hawthorne always being paired up against a really strong physical PF. But my thought (admittedly taking the positive) is he can get by as a backup PF alright. He's got a ton of length and wingspan, and similar built guys like Prince and Nate Ament have gotten by "ok" defending the position. Honestly we just don't know, but I think we're going to find out because I just don't think he has the kind of body that can get muscularly thick.
This ain’t Tayshauns SEC. League is different. Kam can defend the 4 in a pinch. He was fine at it last year. Hawthorne isn’t near Ament athletically. I won’t believe the tall tales about his size/growth/gains till I see it. I read all the BS about Noah last year. He still looked like the kid with baby fat and a tshirt under his jersey. If Freeman is the 4, then Kam can play the backup role. Just no need for Hawthorne to be mentioned in that regard. Man, we have a tendency to way overvalue something we haven’t seen. Hawthorne was too fragile TO EVEN PLAY last season, yet somehow he’s a starter and a key piece this season? Yeah, not buying that.

I don't agree. I think Hawthorne will be a key piece and in the top 8 of the rotation. But what I think and what I know are two different things - an issue we all probably struggle with from time to time. I'll accept the fact that we'll have to wait and see - because it's true. Will you?

C- Malachi Moreno/Reece Potter - They will probably add 1 more in the portal here. The 5 spot will be an upgrade vs last year due to the natural progression on Moreno. Hoping to get Devin Williams as a defensive 5 as backup Center.

PF - No one currently - Need at least 2 additions here. Would like to see a scorer like Freeman and a rebounder like McBride. Would be fine with Rancik also. Either way need 2 of the 3 listed.

W - Kam Williams/Brendan Hawthorne/Trent Noah - Really need Tyron Stokes here to be a final 4 type team. If not Kam or Brendan have to take a big step up this year. Oweh's scoring will be missed in this spot. The shooting of Kam and Noah if they have a good year shooting could be huge with the guards having more ability to drive and pass.

SG - Alex Wilkens - Need another 2 Guard here and hopefully a 3-point shooter. As a freshman Wilkens average almost 18 a game. Just like Moreno he will have some natural progression and can be a high-level scorer as his game improves and playing off the ball and Zoom setting him up. He can also play point when Zoom needs a rest or in foul trouble. Wilkens is an improvement over Chandler as a scorer, ball handler, passer. Chandler is a better shooter, but Wilkens played the point last year as an off-ball guard he could improve on his % getting set up by a point guard.

PG - Zoom Diallo/Mason Williams - Zoom is a huge upgrade over Jalen Lowe at the point. He has not shot an elite % from 3 but he has a good shot and that % can go up easily. Zoom can really get to the rim as a guard and is a good passer of the ball. Mason Williams is a strong kid that can handle the ball well. He will be the developmental guard, and I think he will surprise people next season backing up Zoom and Alex at the point.

Next year's team will have great length next year when more than likely the starting lineup will not have a player under 6'5.

We used to have a knowledgeable fan base. That's just not true anymore.
Most of these idiots posing as fans are not really UK fans. They are here only to create chaos and make people panic and be miserable, then they laugh about it. It's sad,it's pathetic and these posters have serious mental issues. If we started putting them on ignore then they wouldn't be taking over every single thread

Wilkins gives us a nice CG to play PG as well, and not put too much pressure on FR Williams!

G - Zoom, Williams
G - Wilkins, ?
F - Kam, Hawthorne, Noah
F - ?, ?
C - Moreno, ?, Potter

Freeman and Rancik would look good at the 4 to compliment Moreno.

I can't imagine Potter will be the backup C with little depth. Definitely need a Reibe there.

✅ Mo Williams didn't agree to come here without son being given a fair shake. Will Pope trust him in that role? Regardless, there will be another guard trusted to handle the ball better than Jasper could as a backup!

✅ We need a stud 2G starter and a elite shooter to back him up.

If somehow Stokes comes, that would have to move Kam as a 6th man role. Would Stokes play the point forward as a 4 man if Freeman doesn't come?
This team is going to suck.

15-20 win suck.

I think if we get Stokes, Kam moves into the backup 2 SG spot. If we don’t get Stokes, then we look for a 2 guard bench player.

Disagree. He will get better and stronger this off-season. He got fatigued last year.
Pope has to address his conditioning program because when the season starts these guys still look like they did when they arrived on campus. It’s happened every season and we don’t have guys here in the weight room constantly. These guys some of them carry some fat on them or at least it’s not really muscle.

Projected 17th and ahead of Chinyelu. Sure he isn’t a modern stretch 5 but that doesn’t mean he’s bad. Kid could play himself into the lotto.
He's bad because he doesn't guard or rebound, I don't care what some random mock says.

Do you all not recall what Somto did to him? Mitchell in the SECT? Florida getting 900 offensive rebounds the next game? Him getting abused by the Santa Clara big including for what should have been the game winning shot if not for Oweh? He couldn't even be on the floor against Iowa St.

I'm not saying he shouldn't be on scholarship but a serious program that was trying to win a title would have gone out and got a better starter.

He is first round in every mock. But I’m sure your evaluation is better. Proceed.
