Who has providence played?I still don’t understand all this Montini love. Who have the played? (Black) and Blue games await the Broncos!
I'm going to say Stevenson is top public school !Not me - I’m going with Brother Rice (for now) and Naz number 2 and that is for this season only! I’m not taking “program” rankings.
And that is private schools per the thread. LWE still top dog until someone can knock them off.
Private:
1 BR
2 Naz
3 Marist
4 MC
5 LA
6 Montini
Public:
1 LWE
2 HF
3 Stevie
4 Evanston
5 Batavia
6 Cary Grove
7 Maine South
Voodoos VSR (Voodoo Side Rankings) combined top 10:
1 LWE
2 BR
3 HF
4 Naz
5 stevie
6 Marist
7 Evanston
8 Batavia
9. Cary Grove
10 Maine South.
I wanted to put MC in the top 10 - but they lost to Swagger.
I put Swagger in the top 10 over MC and LA even though they lost to Barrington, who then turned around and had a let down in the Evanston game. Hence Evanston ahead of Swagger.
Batavia hasn’t beaten anyone of note - but they defending 7A champs, undefeated, and have earned a pass with the light schedule (at least with me and for now. Big game with WWS up next)
Cary with a huge win vs Huntley (and convincing win)... and If they beat both PR and NC?.... clear favorite and top dog in 6A and in the mix for top 5 in the state?
Lurking just outside top 10:
* MC
* LA (dropping fast though. Getting beat in a competitive game is one thing,..Taking a 35-3 loss is quite another in terms of interviewing for the top 10.
* Montini.
I'm going to say Stevenson is top public school !
St Laurence and St Rita aren’t exactly chopped liver. St Joseph, Christ The King? I mean c’mon LOLWho has providence played?
Even the Montini guy agreed they have played no one....St Laurence and St Rita aren’t exactly chopped liver. St Joseph, Christ The King? I mean c’mon LOL
I was talking about Montini's past performance in making the State playoffs a ton of times and quite a few state championships. I agree that school is still out on Montini this year as they have not played what I would consider top quality teams. That changes in the up coming weeks and I will have a better handle of what type of team they will be this year. They do have very good coaches and a lot of talented players so you never know how they will perform in the CCL Blue.I still don’t understand all this Montini love. Who have the played? 10-4, actually looking forward to playing them! We still get MC as a crossover WTFI was talking about Montini's past performance in making the State playoffs a ton of times and quite a few state championships. Got to include Providence in that group.Speaking of this years football season, it is a toss up for me between BR and Nazareth. With past football glory in mind, I like MC, Rita, Loyola, JC and Montini.

I'm going to disagree with you a little . ND isnt meh. This year. Watched a bunch of them and think they are solid all the way around. They are going to be a tough out in 6A.Come on man, Rita got beat by JCA pretty handily, and St Laurence got served by Benet who just lost to a meh ND team. If you’re going to pitch a ***** at least keep the other side clean.

What’s st Rita’s and St. Laurence’s records? How about Lockport’s? We all know st laurence is very very young. St Rita is not good. Fact. It’s okay to say they haven’t played a good quality team yet. It’s ok. JCA has only played one good team. In fact a great team and we lost. We play Marist next, then benet. We will be tested for sure.St Laurence and St Rita aren’t exactly chopped liver. I’ve said all along that PC has not played a true solid opponent yet. Same as Montini. That’s all. Yet lots of love for the Lombard boys. Next 5 games will tell more of the 2018 tale for both teams. If anything it will be great tune up for playoffs, for both teams, assuming the boys aren’t demolished in these games and in turn lose confidence. Oct 12th will be a head to head game. Hopefully a great game. What’s st Rita’s and St. Laurence’s records? How about Lockport’s? We all know st laurence is very very young. St Rita is not good. Fact. First thought that went through my mind.Who has providence played?
10-4 chillmanYou want love around here for your team? Earn it!!!!!! Lmao
In addition we have never given Loyola or Provi a close game except back in 82 against Provi when we had a stud Westerkamp on our team.
Amazing to me how far these things can veer off course.
In the last 10 years? I think you have to go with Montini. 08-18? 5 titles & 2 runner ups. Including an undefeated run after being multiplied. That season they beat 8a Maine South, East Side, and CCL blue St. Rita.
This year? Nazareth probably but feel like its too early to tell. Naz beat LZ but LZ looking very human this year. MC looks nasty, BR as well. IC through a beating to JCA. Despite 2 losses nobody wants to see loyola on the schedule.
No offense, but those titles, while admirable, were won early in the morning against tiny schools.

Didn't they also beat Mt. Carmel in a couple of them years. No offense, but those titles, while admirable, were won early in the morning against tiny schools.

For someone who is always talking about MC having the most titles never a word that atleast 4 of them were won early in the morning, do you still count those in your total?
Maybe this helps explain some of that success. It takes a village.

Learned from Belichick I guess
What's tainted about the title? The MC "fan" was one of the player's uncle.
Is this one better?

Naperville police were called to Neuqua Valley Friday afternoon after a Mount Carmel fan was seen illegally taping Neuqua’s football practice.
Naperville police were called to Neuqua Valley High School Friday afternoon after a Mount Carmel fan was seen illegally taping Neuqua’s football practice before the teams’ big playoff game Saturday night.
According to Naperville Police Cmdr. Mike Anders, a police officer went out to Neuqua at 4 p.m. Friday when one of the coaches spotted the man in the bleachers using a video camera and taking notes during football practice. Police were called because the man was trespassing on school grounds, Anders said.
It is also a violation of IHSA rules to videotape an opponent’s practice sessions.
When asked by the police officer the man, 56, of North Aurora, said he was “scouting” on his own and not at the behest of Mt. Carmel. He said he has a relative who plays for Mount Carmel and he wanted to get the lowdown on Neuqua’s team.
According to Anders, the man gave over the sheet of paper he was writing on that contained some quick notes about Neuqua’s team. He also surrendered the disc from his video camera to Neuqua officials.
After that, Neuqua officials decided not to press charges against the man. Because there are no charges against him, Naperville police did not release the man’s name.
Neuqua officials said the man was welcome to come to Saturday’s game — where he wouldn’t be trespassing.
We are talking about the last 10 years, no? When was the last time JCA or Mount Carmel won the big one?
And the title of this thread still has "RIGHT NOW" in it. You could make an argument for Mount Carmel right now.
2012 (vs Glenbard North) and 2013 (Lake Zurich). Thanks for asking.
