I’ve got a close friend of mine Who’s a retired SEC umpire From Georgia. He’s called three college World Series games, including Two as Plate umpire with LSU playing . I asked him about the toss. He said it was 100% correct. He said as a head coach, you do not place 1 foot on the playing field to argue balls and strikes. It’s a big no-no. When the coach did so, he kept walking and probably had a few choice words. He said the plate umpire did exactly what he should’ve done.

I mean, the umpire warned him to stop arguing, and not only did he not stop arguing, he charged out of the dugout to argue. Of course he’s going to get tossed for that. Really stupid and a loss of control by the coach to get tossed in the first inning of an elimination game.

It's called the ump being a little beotch. There is no accountability for umpires. And terrible umpires deserve to be told that. If they are a **** umpire they deserve to be checked and fired and fined for tossing a coach for telling you suck. We are far past needing to have cameras with strike zone set up for this level of college baseball. And hold bad umpires with a power trip accountable. My opinion that umpire changed the whole game. I used to umpire. Dude needs to grow some thicker skin if he gonna umpire
