A win would put him tied for first in the NL in wins with Billingsley and Piniero.
Currently 6th in the NL with a 2.03 ERA.
He is 11th in innings, but a complete game tonight would put him in first (unless someone else in front of him is pitching).

Yeah, it's April, but think how much fun it would be to track this if it was July and he was still amongst the leaders.

Billingsley is pitching tonight too. Maholm has been exciting to watch this year. I hope, for the sake of my fantasy team, that he gets win 4 tonight.

that he win the Cy Young this year. I really think highly of Maholm and he is coming into his own now. He knows how to pitch. And the fact that he plays for the Pirates might help him out if he has a few more losses than someone like a Brandon Webb. Also, if the Pirates keep on playing well and end up in second or third place, Maholm would be a huge reason for that turnaround.

So, this year's Cy Young's could go to Paul Maholm of Pittsburgh and Zack Grienike of Kansas City.

in this early season, the Pirates are playing pretty good offensive baseball. In most stats, they are 4th in the NL (including hits, runs, total bases, Avg.)

Which might explain while Paul is able to go for his 4-0 start. Amazing what a little bat support will do for a good pitcher.
