Even though their names don't sound what I consider Islamic....

Islam is the predominant religion in Chechnya. Chechens are overwhelmingly adherents to Sunni Islam,[39] the country having converted to Islam between the 16th and the 19th centuries. Due to historical importance, many Chechens are Sufis, of either the Qadiri or Naqshbandi orders. Most of the population follows either the Shafi'i, Hanafi,[40] or Maliki[41] schools of jurisprudence, fiqh. The Shafi'i school of jurisprudence has a long tradition among the Chechens,[42] and thus it remains the most practiced.[43]

Damnit, I was just working on the connection between Barry Switzer and Switzerland and now you've thrown off my concentration.

If so many public schools didn't suck so bad,

you'd be able to tell whether somebody graduated high school before or after the break up of the USSR by whether they knew what the hell Chesnya was.

Your comment makes more sense if you actually read it in Kenny Powers' voice.

Kinda like when you read a Morgan Freeman quote. Only white trashy.

I'm pretty sure you meant, meaning misspelled, Chechnya. Chesnya (after a Google search) appears to be some sort of pseudo-nation state that best I can tell, doesn't really exist. I'm open to elucidation however.

You sure about that?

I don't think so. I just Googled "Chesnya" and came up with what appears to be a non-existent nation-state. I could certainly be wrong though.

Chechnya is basically a part of Russia and located not too far, possibly adjacent, from Afghanistan unless I'm mistaken. I'm just going by memory and haven't checked a map.

Probablly should have googled for spelling. I honestly couldn't have named Chechnya as a country before today. If somebody had asked me whether it's a country or not, I'm not sure I would be been able to say yea or nay.

Does that mean you're a product of those public schools that suck so bad that you mentioned? Ha. Just ribbing you a little. It's kinda like when somebody jumps on another for poor grammar, then screws up his own post.

Chechnya is the country that was gassed by the rogue military general in the movie "Sum of All Fears."

That movie also starred Ben Afleck...who oddly enough is from - you guessed it - Boston. To add to this oddity, in the movie "Armageddon," Ben Afleck plays an oiler from West Texas.

So - what I think this means is that Hollywood is out to destroy America.

Actually, yes. The public schools comment was just troll bait. I wanted to see how focused the pack was. Three hours and you're the first one to comment, and still didn't really bite. You know there's serious **** going down when the pack passes up the opportunity to lock up a thread over a public school v. private school debate.
