This team has a lot of class. For example, when one of the twins, I think it was Andrew, intercepted a pass and was alone for the dunk, he never screamed, beat his chest, he dunked and very calmly got back on defense. Class d-leagers, class. I like it. FCC.

How am I going to make it till Friday without UK basketball?

Boys (and girl), I think Spring is here.

That time change gets a little harder each year. Just fell dead asleep on the couch, unplanned. Wife and little one are out too. Missed church and everything.

Tread lightly, my man. While that is true about that one particular dunk by that one particular Cat...there have been plenty of times when willy, KAT & Lee have screamed and/or beaten their chest after a dunk.

Having said that...I see nothing wrong with a quick gesture of enthusiasm just so long as it doesn't show up the other team and/or cause the ref to call a T.

Also, this team shows that it is a class act in many ways. They are unselfish, they celebrate their teammates accomplishments, they don't play dirty, etc...

My thoughts exactly FCC..No posing or thug glares just sticking with the business at hand...All that other **** trying to intimidate just shows insecurities in their game..If you got game no need to puff, scream and act an idiot, the game talent handles the intimidation factor...Jus sayin...

BTW...Happy Sunday FCC

Rooting for Yale. Just because I see them as the underdog and it sucks how they lost their last game to force a playoff with Harvard..

Both teams appear to be evenly matched...they split this year each winning at the other team's gym, they have identical conference records and their overall records are very similar. But...seems like Harvard is the Ivy League rep almost every year. And Yale hasn't been in the Big Dance since JFK was the POTUS.

I say Yale by 2.

Who ya got?

Went out to eat last night. Our daughter looks up and says her thumb hurts. She shows us her hand, and her thumb was dislocated. How it happened is a complete mystery. My wife is an NP and was able to reduce it at the table. After dinner, the wife took her to the ER for x-rays/work up.

This morning I take my daughter to school and go to drop off some ibuprofen with the school nurse who tells me that I need to get a doctors signature for them to give my daughter an ibuprofen tablet. OK, I exppected to fill out a form, did not know I would need a prescription for an OTC at school. Next time I will just put the tablet in her lunchbox and be done.

The sun has come out this week. Bring on the global warming.

Wifey and I were talking awhile back about how much different things are nowadays. When I was in elementary school, my dentist's office was across a busy two-lane highway from the school. As a fourth grader I was able to go to appointments, by myself, by simply looking both ways before crossing the street as the principal watched from his office window
.

I respectfully disagree. Especially on the "just shows insecurities in their game" part. I concur on the "not acting like an idiot" part. But I think a quick glare or a quick scream or raising the roof or whatever fires up the crowd and teammates alike. Again, don't show up the other team or go overboard...just a quick celebration...and get your azz back on D.

I mean those guys are working hard out there. And emotions run high. Take KAT for instance. They are double and triple teaming him every time he touches the ball. And they are hacking him every time he goes to the hoop. When he finally breaks free and is able to dunk the ball...he needs to vent out some of that frustration via a quick celebratory whatever. Better than keeping it all bundled up and throwing an elbow at one of the dudes double teaming/hacking the ish out of him.

In college, we used to "make ourselves small" after a dunk. I think we copied it off of some of the UNLV players...IIRC it was Stacey Augman(sp?) who did it first. You dunk the ball...land on your feet...and then immediately crouch down with your arms spread as you run back down the floor. Just for the first 2 or 3 steps as you run back down the court on D. Used to fire up our crowd and our entire team when we did that.

"Make yourself small!!!"

I'm pretty sure Steve Martin was getting small before UNLV...

BTW, I loved -- and would still love -- that look following a dunk
, was pretty bad-***.

However, even though I wholeheartedly approve the technique and completely agree with your sentiments about not excessively celebrating, had I ever dunked in a game I'd have made Denzel look like a wallflower when he was ranting (NSFW) about "KING KONG AIN'T GOT ISH ON ME!!![/I]"

It's the truth. Just bend on over and let Hunny stick an emerald encrusted ******** (that you paid for) up your bunghole.

Eventually, we're going to need a masculinity movement.

One of you industrious jackals needs to go to ESPN's site and set up a D-League NCAA Bracket Pool for me to win.

Make it so.

Need some honest input D-Leaguers.

So I got caught up in the tinder phenomenon back in September. Had it for about a week and then deleted it but in that time met a couple girls that I liked. Anyways I got a couple phone numbers but I currently only see one of them. I talk to her on a daily basis and even though we're not dating, she says that we "probably will date". She says she likes me. She still has and uses tinder, but she says she only has it to talk to a couple guys she met on there, one of whom lives in Florida. She says the other one is depressed all the time and she doesn't want to stop talking to him until she knows he's ok. Anyway back to the other guy in Florida. Well she's on vacation with her family down there now and she says that he wants to meet her(for the first time). I am NOT ok with that. To get down to the point, she says that she wants to meet him but she won't. That is where the problem is. I told her she should probably keep looking for other guys because Im obviously not what she is looking for. She says it shouldn't matter if she wants to meet him because she isn't going to. I say that the fact that she wants to meet him is a problem and shows that she doesn't really want to be with me. It doesn't matter if she isn't meeting him, the fact that she "wants to meet him" is what I'm having a problem with.

Be honest, do you see where I'm coming from or am I in the wrong? The other guy who is depressed all the time she "wants to meet too" just to see how he's doing, FWIW.

But, you're wrong...in the girl's opinion. I can tell you that. She wants to be free. Gotta let her. You can still be with her in some capacity, but understand that she wants to be free at this point in time.

Well she apologized and said "I see where you're coming from". So we'll see where it goes from here.

One thing I left out is that we both agreed that we wouldn't see anybody else to see how much we do get along. That was a while back but I know I can't stop her from seeing him because she'll say "he's a friend". Women...

BlueRupp...

A) I don't even know what Tinder is??? Sounds like a dating site so i will resume under that assumption...

B) She sounds like she is still fishing and not settled into whatever kind of relationship you two have...or you think you have.

C) Mash actually has the right idea. I would view this as a potential hook-up at this point and nothing more. I know it seems like more because you have talked a bunch on the phone...but as i said before...she is still fishing.

D) The "depressed" dude is playing her. He is drawing her in for the "sympathy booty" hook-up. I hate dudes that play that card. Pathetic little punks.

E) If you are sure this is a girl you want to pursue for a serious relationship then you need to go full tilt boogie. Put on the full court press. Her reaction will tell you all you need to know. Could save you a bunch of wasted time. Or it could turn out to be your future wife. But get busy living...or let the relationship die in the friend zone. Ish or get off the pot.

F) Would also help to have more info...Does she live in the same town? How many dates have you gone on with her? Is she hot?

Yea, I don't like it man.

I got an idea, though...

You say she's going to Florida, right? And you don't trust this dude, and I don't blame you, but I got a perfect alternative - I know a good dude down in Florida who's married and would love to spend time with your girl in order to shield her from the other dude who's probably going to bang you chick. So, just tell her to hit up Willy4UK instead. She will have way more fun and your relationship will stay intact.

P.S.
You don't even need to send a picture. Willy isn't in to "looks". He'll hang out with anything that has a pulse. He's such a sweet soul, and he'll be glad to save your relationship and let your girl crash at his place.
